Sounds like he needs to call up the 700 club to help get rid of his pain. All that modern medicine is the work of satan!

"Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement, and is the privilege of all believers."

They don't denounce it. It simply isn't used. Interesting he's going against his faith in this instance.

"Naturally Christians ought not put their hope and confidence in humanity but God, yet God frequently chooses to utilize humans for His purposes. God may use a variety of means, but all healing is dependent upon Him, whether natural or supernatural."
Seems mighty ambiguous to me and the "chapter 12" they refer to page is gone. I like the "speaking in tongues" thing they did for his senate confirmation tho--Pentecostals are extreme freaks.
"On January 4, 1995, just minutes before Republican John Ashcroft was sworn in as a U.S. senator, he did something quite out of character for a new member of the nation’s political elite. He knelt on the floor while several family members from Missouri gathered around him. Some laid their hands on his shoulders; others quietly spoke in tongues--the Pentecostalist practice of talking in ecstatic, jumbled phrases thought to be a heavenly language. Ashcroft’s frail 83-year-old father, J. Robert Ashcroft, then took a bottle of ordinary cooking oil and poured some of it on his son in the same manner that the biblical prophet Samuel anointed a young King David."

Nice to see your acceptance of other religions.

C'mon Martlet. If this nut was with Kerry you'd be having a field day. Ashcroft is so far out there Babe Ruth couldn't hit him one.

You can't send us to the corner anymore. It singles us out, and the courts forbid it.

Then exchange rings and get married!! They allow that now =)
-
Ashcroft, I mean Hitler jr. is getting what we call payback. Screw both Democrats and Republicans.

If you're gonna ATTEMPT a flame, spell the name right.
I knew a Conservative would get defensive. It's in your nature, you can't help it.
LMFAO.
Karaya

You just need a simpler name.
Actually if you search around you will find I am no bush or Ashcroft fan. Hell I think Ashcroft is a clown.
I do not however think he has taken any of my rights away.
I am just curious about why you are happy a man is sick
Here I can throw out a fun zinger just like you
I knew a liberal would hate a guy but have no reason for it other then he is a conservative and therefore a jerk....

Saur,
You think I could have improved it by making jerk, racist, facist or nazi?
-
I'm sorry you wasted your breath. I'm neither Republican or Democrat as I stated on the first post. Glad you let your emotions cloud your thinking.
-
Dude,
You are pretty funny. I am not the one who called a guy Hitler and then can not back it up.
It's funny you did not get the humor in my last posts.
Go spew crap somewhere else. All I asked was why you think he is Hitler, I should have know to to bother with anyone who make such an idiotic statement in the first place..

Are you saying that the Assemblies of God members don't use medicine or that's it's use isn't condoned by the church? If so you would be mistaken.
-
Bill Mahr is just a bitter old man.
-
yea i have an aunt that is a member of the Ass. of God. She is as nutty as a fruit bat.
-
I am glad to see that the religious tolerance dreamed of by our founding fathers has been realized to such a glorious extent.
-
I am no supporting of Asscroft, but Acute pancreatitis can be a severe, life-threatening illness with many complications. Not something to joke to about. Kerry had this to say about it at a rally in New Orleans:
"I hope everybody will say their prayers that he gets well. I don't know what the status is, but that is something that every single one of us has in our hearts and we will do that."
Well, there are fewer with heart than he thinks in his party. (Waves to Froggy)
