Kudos to you!

Congratulations. Welcome to the fraternity of pilots. What's next? You going to go for the instrument?
-
I have every intention to go for my IFR ticket, I going to enjoy the fruits of my labor now though :) I've got a couple destinations in mind, it's a 2 hour flight to the wright brother's memorial in Kill Devil Hills, so obviously I've got no excuse to not make that pilgramige The other is to my brothers town about the same distance but NW.

Congrats! Remember if it floats, flies or f%#@'s, its gonna cost you big cash! ;)
-
LOL, don't remind me :) It'll be great when the wife gets base housing in combination with my salary and not having a mortgage. It's gonna be hard not buying that first AC.

All the bliss and beauty will be gone

At the moment of death I will smile
It's the triumph of shame and disease

Congratulations! So, you going to ask your instructor out? Oh wait, that's Mia.... never mind. :D
-
Chairboy, I'm married but when my wife saw one of my instructor she was very jealous. LOL, so insecure that she asked me to get another instructor. This gal was smoking! It's a pleasure to fly and even more to fly with her :)

WTG - what type of plane did you do it in?
-
It was in a 172G model called the Dancing Bear. The owner of the aircraft is a deadhead and had a purple dancing bear on the verticle stabilizer. 5766R is the tail number, I've got a picture somewhere at home, I'll dig it up and post it.

WTG Dingbat:)

No doubt about that, I've already increased my bookshelf space to allow for all the readings i'm getting. I'm pretty much a Flight Training subscriber for life, every issue I learn something new.

Congrats. You weren't the guy with the hots for his instructor were you?
-
LOL, no I think that was Mia.
-
Congrats Dingbat.
-
Congrats Dingbat, meant to post to this sooner. Never did get my PPL but I did solo, about a hundred years ago. Actually it was 1979.

Seems that I recall that is why I wore that one. BTW, I really enjoyed flying that little Tomahawk. I've heard since that they can be pretty dangerous.

It did earn the nickname "Trauma-hawk". As I recall, they were pretty nasty at spin recovery, which some CFIs were still using back when it first came out.
