Ever heard of a Labradoodle?

I heard they were going for over $2000.

Pits should be bred out of existence... a waste of DNA.

Basically they have been MT and that's why there is a problem with the Staff's of today. Likewise Labs are too inbred and have many genetic defects. I was incredibily lucky in the '80's to enjoy the companioship of a Colby Dog imo the last of the real purebred Pitbulls. Toad's biatch and my Ben what a litter!!!

Thank You Colby kennels and Oklahoma!!! :aok

Yeah, I've seen a Labradoodle website. All I can do is echo the line attributed to PT Barnum:

"There's a sucker born every minute."

Especially at those prices!

I'm probably one of the few guys you'll meet that has actually hunted pheasant and duck behind a field-bred standard poodle. There's not a dang thing wrong with a "hunting" poodle from good stock. They are tenacious, good noses and naturally close hunters.

However, and this is my personal opinion, they are not nearly the all-round bird dog that a properly bred field Lab can be. Nor, IMO, are they as great a family dog.

But, hey...... Labradoodles..... catchy name.
