Whats a "mod"?
If it didn't come attached to the car when you drove it off the lot, for what the purpose of the car was engineered for, then why add something that shouldn't be there? I never understood "Mod" mentality although I guess you could consider a computer chip that lifts the speed restricting U.S. required-govenor on my car a "mod" and tinting the windows(More for heat control than looks). (Shrugs)
If you want to turn it into a race, buy a race car in the first place.

Some people enjoy working on their cars. Some people enjoy making them go faster.
I'm sure your car goes faster than any US speed limit but you're not a racing driver, so why did you buy it? You can apply that argument to practically any car you can buy too. You'd be left driving a Citroen 2CV if you were a true subscriber. ;)

Not sure if you're asking me a question or not, but I will respond to Poindexter Accountant:
I have no problem with the fun that comes from working on cars, I like to maintain mine from oil changes to detail work. As far as going faster, most that make their cars "go faster" do illegal street racing. Recently, we've had a rash of deaths in this area due to the aforementioned, innocent bystanders as well. If one is going to make their car go faster, please, by all means, race it on a track, not the street. It doesn't bother me if you flush money down the toilet foolishly.
I bought my performance chip because it fine tuned the factory settings for fuel efficiency, and lifted the speed restriction which I felt necessary for tracking my car out at SIR (Now called Pacific Raceway) Although I've only done this once, I kinda wish I hadn't spent the money on the chip, because I'm not pushing the car like I had intended to when I first bought.

100% rice free. what am I doing wrong? I've got some neat fog lights that came from a junk yard but I guess that doesn't cut it. Can anyone tell me how properly rice out a Blazer?
-
Want to rice a Blazer? Here's what you do.
- Go to your nearest autoparts store and buy a muffler tip in excess of 4 inches
- Call your local Honda or Acura dealer and ask them to send you an Si or a Type-R emblem. Or just buy one at your local autoparts store
- Invest in vinyl, particularly yellow, and make goofy shapes and designs on the side and hood of the truck.
- Remove the Chevy bowtie and adhear the Type R badge on the rear liftgate.
- Find a racing team and put their logo and/or windshield banner on your truck.
- Wear a baseball cap backwards and talk about how fast your new Blazer is.
- Buy stickers for performance parts, like GReddy or AEM
- If ever asked to show proof of GReddy or AEM parts, deny everything and say that you just use NOS
There...that should make you the hippest guy on the block.
-
No fart tips here, rice free baby.:D

i wanted to say i had a 3" exhaust, but it's only 2.5 straight through pipes to a 4" outlet ;) (N1)
-
Yeah I saw some calcs once where anything more than 2.5" or 2" is not helpful until you get over 400 hp or so.
-
well, if i had a bigger turbo then 3" back would make sense, but since im still running on the stock T-18 im trying to keep boost creep down
hopefully going with a t04r setup by summer if all goes well tho
