Title: WarBirds anybody?
Post by: MC_Honky on March 11, 2004, 01:23:04 PM
Like a year or so I tried warbirds.  Liked it but it was very similiar to the stale "base capture" situtation we have here.  The one thing I liked was the Rolling Plane set- much better than the "Hey- look at me I'm flying a perk plane come gangbang me"  system.
So warbirds any better now?  Not much outhere for the Online WWII flying guy.

Last time I looked at it the flight model sucked, all the planes SUCKED bellybutton in the roll, it was like flying in slo mo.

I hate rolling plane sets more then hondas with big aluminum wings and NOS stickers on them....................

The ****ing suck.
When I played wardbirds back in the day and they went to the rolling plane set. I stopped playing on the days the planes I liked where not out.
then stopped playing all together.

only thing good in warbirds is the special effects in the damage model and the smooth-looking terrain.

Is Wild Bill still suing HTC? I don't see myself ever trying Warbirds now.

Warbirds will never see another cent from me.

I left there about the time of the AH Beta because they treated me like s**t, their customer service sucked, and found a company that looked after me (HTC).

Secondly the bloated retard Wild Bill started talked about suing people for code he didn't own or write.

So, Warbirds could be the most advanced mmpog on the planet, but I still wouldn't touch it. And frankly I hope "Wild" Bill ends up a homeless person I can kick on the street some day.

not really. I tried a little of wbiii and the graphics are much crisper in aces high.  The graphics there seem very sloppy and low-res, but the 2 parts of the graphics i like (as i said above) are the damage graphics (VERY nice fire and smoke effects) and the terrain seems very smooth and rolls nicely, but its still low res.

I think they've added some new a/c to their planset as well as some new a/c to their WW1 planeset but they seldom seem to have more than about 20 people online at any time.

This case is set for trail on January 10, 2005.

1. Dale has filed a counter-claim against iEN claiming that he is the owner of the patent and not iEN. Dale seeks a judgment delaring him the sole owner of the copyright in the software code that is the subject of the suit.

2. Dale filed a motion for summary judgment, which was denied, but the court granted another opportunity to file another one after more discovery.

3. It appears that iEN didn't make royalty payments on the patent use contract for some six years. Then, iEN made a payment in 2003, for all six years of missed payments, just a week before its lawsuit was filed. But Dale returned the payment and all sums previously paid ($50 by ICI).

4. In returning the payments, Dale rescinded the contract and demanded that iEN stop using his patent and offered iEN an opportunity to enter into a new contract. Whether the contact is rescinded is a contested. Whether Texas or NC law applies is also contested.

5. Expert designation is June 4, 2004.

I'm with Vulcan on this one.

iEN promised WB's 3 for almost 3 years while doing nothing to fix the huge problems it had. Added 1 plane in that time.

Customer service sucked, and there dev team  lead had a real knack for driving away customers.

HTC has consistantly added & improved AH.  Is very close to haveing AH2 up & running. (In my opinion, and thats ALL it is)

HTC has the best customer service in the business.

Last HT listens, he may not reply, he may not agree,  he may not do what you want him to do. But he does READ the bbs regularly and LISTEN.

Thats good enough for me.
If that makes me a fanboi, Cool!

Anyone else want to join Ghosth's HTC Fanboi club?

I did downloaded WBIII with Update couple month ago and I really want to say:  I don't like it and I still don't like how they sue Hitech, because WB want money and soon they will lose all their money then outta of business.  HTC doing great job and I like Aces High than WB.  I am 100% support HTC  :)
