What's everyone's best kill or best move (or the funniest) in this arena?;)
(Please take this as an invitation to brag.:aok )
Mine is when I flew a P51-B on a lone wolf mission I came accross a ME-109. I was in position to do some mishief and dove in to attack. I spent the next five or ten minutes chasing this guy all over the French countryside before I got enough fifties into him for his plane to fail.:D
What's your story?

When I first started playing AH with the 56th FG "Wolfpack" I was out flying with Sancho and we got bounced by two 109's while we were flying Juggs.
Sancho managed to shoot down one but the other was all over him. I was a ways away but managed to get back to him to try and clear him. He was dragging the 109 across my nose and I opened fire at 1.1K away hopeing to scare the con off his tail. At just the time I fired the con turned up on one wing to follow Sancho and my fire neatly sawed one wing right off him!
Best shot I ever made in AH! Got to LOVE all those .50 cals on the Jugg! :D

A few weeks ago, a couple guys caught my Il-2 with their 109s and started me smoking. Some friends jumped in and distracted them and in the resulting melee I shot down both the 109s and landed them all tore up from their initial passes. That was hugely satisfying, going from deadmeat to victor like that.
I have had some really great fights using or being bounced from clouds in Finland, Burma, and the winter eastern front one (was that Hungary????).

A memorable battle I had was ages ago in the CT, the setup was similar to the one that's running right now but I seem to remember some snow on the ground. I upped in England in a
P-51B and headed to France, I engaged a couple solo 109/190's near their fields the last one falling near their field. I started heading west ont he deck and at low speed when I looked back and saw the hornets nest I had stirred up. My first reaction was to try and run like a little girl all the way to England. The first 109 caught up with me right over the channel at maybe 1,000 feet. I turned back to engage him and before I knew it another 4 or so had all jumped into the fray. I have no idea how long the fight lasted but some of the 109's got greedy and I managed to make about 3 of them auger into the channel I finally gunned down the last 2 and limped back to england about as shot up as a pony can be. I have no idea how I made it out of that one but after I landed I realized I was sweating in my seat. I finally exhauled for what must have been the first time in I don't know how many minutes and just sat there dumbfounded to have made it.
On a completely unrelated note, wherebouts in Minnesota are you pwnorris? my girl friend grew up in Min, and has family there.

One night, during a Libya setup, I took off from a base in a 202. We were being raided, probably by a squad of P40Es, flying very low. In the ensuing melee I chased a bunch of them around, firing here, firing there, rolling left to avoid a P40 on my six, rolling right to chase a new target, and it was pretty plain that the Allied pilots were not real familiar with their ride. When the smoke cleared and there were no more red icons around, I checked the text buffer and saw that I had been credited with seven kills.
I still had something like half my ammo load left. So...most of them were undobtedly prox kills, but boy did I feel like a real hero.

I live in Stillwater, MN. That's on the St. Croix river due east of St. Paul. Nicest tourist trap I have ever lived in.:aok

Ahhhh nope, no where near anyone I know... in fact the people I know in Minnesota pretty much don't live near anyone. They're way up right in the middle of the state, middle of *** nowhere hehe. It's about a 2 hour drive north from the twin cities to get to her folks place.
edit:
I actually probably drove in or near Stillwater last time I was in Minnesota on our way to chicago. Stopped to get lunch in a town just E of the twin cities area, and you're right it did look real nice. :)
