I have taken an exreme interest in this plane, but it seams since I got out of my spit, the enemies have taken an exreme interest in me also :-). If anyone has any film of succesful 1v1 or 1vmore succesful sorties, I would be very very thankful.

another thing, when i watch the films i cant hear the engine of the plane is this supose to be like that?

Great choice of A/C. I have been very successfull with the F4U even against Spits, Niks and La-7's. It takes some restraint and time to master the thing but a well flown F4U can defeat most any adversary 1 on 1. The greatest challenge is multpile cons with different characteristics IE a FW190D-9 with a Zeke. You can't outrun one or turn the other.
Be patient, pick your fights and engage fast. The F4U will draw people to you thinking they have an easy kill but you can win or survive most situations.
I will post more later. The F4U-1 is best, never more than 50% fuel in it. And stay fast.

Thanks F4udoa, I'm looking forward to your council. The machine is a beast, I will say that :-). Last night landed 4 :-), but i'm just still getting the hang of it...

F4UDOA...any clips?
I've got a couple from last week I think (-1) but probably nowhere near what you can do.

took a hop at lunch...not really successful...but few of my flights are:)...
anyway, was hoping for a good 1 vs 1 but ended up flying down big island to enemy base...basically just tooling the -1 around...the end might be of help...extend out from an la-7 and reverse him pretty easily...then decide to engage the 190...dumb in hindsite...get him but the la-7 nails me...shows a bit of what the -1 will do in "decent" hands...but hopefully somebody will post a better clip.

basically, can burn fuel manually for wings in the F4U-1, can't carry much ordnance, better fuel range, flys alot sweeter.

Try to find Chrispy if he is around. He lands kills like crazy in the F4u.
