To anyone of knowledge,
I just purchased an AMD 64 3400 with 1GB Ram, ATI 9800 Pro.
The board is a GA-K8VT800m. When I play AH I get a horrible shuttering/shaking in the video. I get 75 fps and everything else seems terrific.
What is the problem?
Ran AH fine on last computer was AMD 2400 with an Nvidia 128mb vid card.
Have changed all the internal game options to see if it makes a difference and it does not.
Thank you in advance for any/all help.

try updateing the video drivers,ATI put some out last week

I lowered sound hardware acceleration to 3/4 and it removed the shake. Guess I don't understand why that was necessary given the resources I "seem" to have. Any additional help would be greatly appreciated.

Try updating your 4 in 1 drivers. If your using onboard sound installing an Audigy card will help alot.

Have a Creative Soundblaster 5.1 will Audigy make a difference? Btw...I did install the new ATI drivers and it solved the problem...however still would like to know the performance difference between sound cards.
Thank you both for your help.

That is an entry level audigy card, a higher end card wont make any noticable differance.
