How ironic would that be.
If the french(who were right about not invading iraq) catch bin ladden. I love the right wing nut job talk show hosts that continue to try and bash the french for having the balls to question the iraq debacle.
-
Wait..you are giving credit to the French for ALMOST capturing Bin Laden.
Well hey, I "ALMOST" make millions on a lottery once...can I have at least some of those winnings?
No disrespect to the French on this, but the minute kudos are given for amost doing something this world is in trouble.
-
That would rock. Almost as cool would be if the Kanukistanis caught him, because it would force their politicians and voters to give some props (and $) to their military.

How do you know you're right? Do you have a crystal ball that would predict what the world would be like in 5 years had Saddam gone unchecked?

Frnch right about Iraq? Frog, you continue to be an idiot... isn't it curable?

Only with another french invention...the gilitine

Wishfull thinking on your part.

Almost capturing bin-laden = dedication if they're french soldiers and ineptness if they're U.S. soldiers.
Gotcha.
I think we should go on pretending that France is more concerned about the sovereignty of a nation as opposed to the loss in revenue from arms sales while we're at it.

The french said they wouldnt go in because we lacked enough evidence that saddam had wmds. well they were right.
-
lol... good replies.

is that what they said frog?

If French troops capture Bin Laden, I hope he'll be extraded to the Us, because we abolished the death penalty here years ago...
However, if we lock him up for life, I promise he'll be fed only froglegs in garlic, and will soon turn into a beret wearing, baguette holding, Gauloise smoking cliché smelly Parisian, and forced to watch the Jerry Lewis anthology 24/7.
then he'll be teamed up with Straffo who will lecture him over and over on the proper way to taste wine until his ears bleed...
One week with Straffo and OBL will be begging for deportation to Gitmo !!!
-
There's a proper way to taste wine?
Do tell....
-
Besides, they're probably French Foriegn Legionaires so not really French at all.
;)

For a mermber of our army Bentegeat speak a bit to much,it's pretty strange, I don't understand the message.

Gullibility and youth...one in the same.
Think oil for food and come back telling me it was all about the purity of French decency.

Ok, the French capture bin Laden, and keep him? I foresee
an ice age forming in US/French relations should that happen.

I don't think he's lying, I think he's still quoting that misinformation that came about last year.
He's a little behind the times.

A little behind the time ?
My god ,that's a true euphemism :rofl

Didn't they once win a war of independance for some British colonists? ;)

No, but they won a war against themselves once.
Well, then again, look who they were fighting.

I thought some old geezer had stated more than once that the French direct military participation proved necessary.

Who knows if it was "necessary". It certainly was helpful and appreciated, though.

Well if you consider showing up at the last minute to blockade a port winning a war then I guess so.
And wave the flag, shouting "Viva La Resistance"...
Yeah, now that you mention it, I do remember them.
I thought it weird that they were waving a different flag than the usual white one...
*shrugs*

And we more than made up for it in WW1.
Anyway they owe us:
WW2
Help In Vietnam
General Eurpean Protection In Cold War
Thats if you really wanna keep tabs on favors..
:)
Ill be happy as long as Bin Laden is caught. Its funny though how frogman (apparently an american guy) expressed definite prefferance that some foreign country rather than the USA caught the greatest mass murderer of US civilians. I know you dislike Bush, but man...
-
:lol The irony is killing me.
Regardless, I find the treatment of the French people childish and very ignorant. They have a right to have their own opinion and not be the butt of (rather cruel) jokes. It is true that the French were defeated sometimes in the 20th Century, but they did fight valiantly in almost all cases. The United States would not even be around today if the French government had not helped us. And if you manage to think a little further into France, you would see that they became a shadow of the world power they were before the 1920's. There were many victories previously, yet they are disregarded in order to childishly insult the French people.
Grunherz- We didn't win in Vietnam either, surprise, surprise.

Wait..you are giving credit to the French for ALMOST capturing Bin Laden.
Don't forget Sir Robin, the- not- quite- so- brave- as- Sir- Lancelot, who had nearly fought the Dragon of Angnor, who had nearly stood up to the vicious Chicken of Bristol, and who had personally wet himself at the Battle of Badon Hill...
