Title: A good question from a player in the current setup
Post by: Reschke on March 15, 2004, 09:38:29 PM: Yesterday I had a player (sorry don't remember the ID) ask me about the B-26 and why it was located so far back in the setup. At that point I told him that it was to hopefully stimulate someone to make a mission and get some escorts up to defend a bomber run against the Japanese. His response was "thanks I'll talk to a few buddies and we may do that." Did he do it? Who the heck knows but at least he asked the question that I have been waiting for someone to ask since the setup went into effect.

(excorting B-25s was a common mission for VF-17. B-26s'll do.)

Post by: 1Duke1 on March 16, 2004, 08:08:31 AM: Sounds like a good escort op for CAG-44. Would be nice to see someone plan an interception mission to give a little opposition. Me and the few other VF-27'ers that have been flying this week have mostly been on the Axis side to keep the numbers close.

Reschke I won't be able to do it till Thursday, I am pretty busy right now working on OPORD for Squad Ops... ummm if we could shoot for thursday it might be easier.... I will be up pretty late tonight trying to get those done... My CM wants them out by wednesday... I might be able to drag Hawk and his 78th in too...

Honestly you don't have to give intell.... believe me we will know your coming... unless you plan on doing it at 40 agl.... makes it more interesting too...

Just let me know if this is due able...

Post by: Reschke on March 16, 2004, 04:54:25 PM: Rgr that Soulyss I will see to it that the intel brief for the OPFOR gets to you and Stream.

Stream here is the general idea I was planning on emailing to you. Thursday may be the night that it all comes together. I ahve to get with the rest of CAG-44 and see what is happening since Thursday seems to fall on the normal flight night for most squadrons.

The plan doesn't call for us to be at 40 feet AGL and it doesn't call for long overwater flights southwest or northeast of "The Slot" itself. Hope that narrows it down for you a little.
