It is highly recommended to remove any styrofoam products from your household and workplace. This is very dangerous stuff. It is manufactured using an odorless, clear liquid called dihydrogenmonoxide which is lethal if inhaled for only a short duration.
Just keeping everyone aware!
-
Dihydrogenmonoxide is not lethal when inhaled unless it is very concentrated.
-
Lame..........
-
Warning....viewing the monitor long enough to read this ramble I've written could cause eye strain (namely the "rolling eyes" motion since you got duped into reading it!)
:p
-
Never try to store gasoline in a styrofoam cup.

Yes, that's true, you're absolutely right!
You could die or maybe at least get pulmonary edema.
Hey just trying to lighten up the mood a bit after the Spanish Inquisition. :D
-
dihydrogenmonoxide is even more dangerous at 0C because it changes from liquid to a solid.
-
People addicted to dihyrdrogenmonoxide often die after only four or five days without using this drug.
Its a powerful diuretic.

Did you know that it is a universal solvent and will corrode just about anything?
In addition, whatever you do don't mix a little floride in with it...
-
Although I had problems with dihydrogenmonoxide in the basement of my old house, I have not been able to detect any in my new house. However I still need to keep a close watch on my carbon monoxide and radon detectors. All 3 are odorless and fatal if enhaled in large quantities.

Why not? It's great to light and throw at things.

Here's a helpful site to assist in learning more about the dangers of Dihydrogen-Monoxide. This is the same site used by the city of Aliso Viejo, CA as part of their decision regarding banning styrofoam:
(Google cache, the site is down due to high traffic):

Here is a good fact sheet...

you should also not take nyetcarbonbioxide...it is said this dangerously addictive drug will have the effect of killing any addict who trys to quit within 10 minutes!!!

I was told in college that dihydrogenmonoxide was NOT a universal solvent. I was told there was no such thing as a universal solvent.

Cannot argue with you there as I know little about chemistry but I remember my 11th grade chem teacher in high school saying that, could very well be wrong.
Anyway, I don't want none of that Dihydrogen-Monoxide stuff around me since after reading all that stuff. I sent them some money to help fight the spread.
We need to hear Kerry and Bush's comments on this!

Wouldn't anti-hydrogen be a universal solvent?

That's the idea, monoatomic anti-hydrogen is anti-matter.

I understand NASA is searching Mars as we speak for this dangerous material.

Dihydrogenmonoxide? Fuggittaboudit...polystyrene is the ONLY way to go. It's also cheap and abundant so we won't need to roll over third-world countries to get it. We can make them produce it for us though...
