Comparing what the nation of our "enemies" spends on defense to ours. Unfortunately, that isn't how it works. Particularly in the war on terrorism.
The implication dessert man gave us was that as long as you spend more than your enemy, you'll be safe. How much do you suppose Al Queda spent on 9/11?

Not to mention the implication he makes that throwing money at K-12 education, alternative energy resources, ending world hunger, and Head Start will somehow proportionately increase the effectiveness of those endeavors.
It's a simplistic and largely uninformed presentation. I'm with Martlet on this one.
