Title: I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest somthing radical

after a countries HQ is destroyed sector bars and radar are no longer shown in flight...


but dot radar is still visible from the tower. (assuming its not also destroyed at the individual fields)

this would make the bewildered country less lost and uncoordinated and give us fans of ATC the fleeting oportunity to give and be given vectors to the enemy    (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

NOE raids would be possible during the time HQ was destroyed and ground vehicles would be stealthy since no sector bars are present when HQ destroyed.

just think of it as throwing us NOE/inflightdar/darbar sucks people all a bone without any repercussions because as soon as HQ rebuilds its back to situation normal.

 what do you say HiTech?
is it worth a try?

I think it would be quite fun...
even the staunchest defenders of inflight radar would aplaud it because to them radar information from the tower  relayed by players is better than no enemy information at all.

P.s. i still think no dar at all below 500ft is my prefered way but if this was implemented id be happy enough and hopefully so will the anti-nondar dweebs  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Dar should be available from tower or A/C that where so equiped. Would also give HT incentive to model some of the Night Fighters that had it.

 Similar system is in WarBirds already..Inflight map shows no dots or sector bars whatsoever.Only from tower U can see them.So U need a GCI to guide the defenders to the enemy...

One thing I'd like to see if something like this was implimented... that radar stay down for an hour instead of 30 minutes (though only two if city is destroyed).  Justified because the overall impact on the country getting dar hit isn't as great... and it gives the country that took the dar down a tad bit of time to get something else organized.

Its quite refreshing to see some real thought go into this radar subject.
