I got to fly this back in 1997 before the FAA stopped the Collings Foundation from selling stick time on the "Nine o' Nine". Needless to say, it was better than sex. The pilot let me have complete control for about 15 minutes and even let me pull a 180 and head back to the field. At first it turned like a truck, but once you got it turning, it came around real nice. I have the whole thing on video too.

The B-24 "All American" is now painted as "Dragon and it's Tail"? I(http://
They still both tour the country together, although now you can only takes rides in either one, but can't fly them anymore. Still, qutie the experience if you've never taken a ride in a B-17 or B-24.

Thats a Tomcat..no Hornet ever had the Jolly Rogers Paint since VF-84 (the last Jolly Rogers) and VF-103 (Current) Fly the Tomcat and VF-103 is here at NAS Oceana..not to mention that the shape iof the vertical stabilizers is that of an F-14 not the F/A-18.

The Jolly Rogers you see is indeed a F-14. The pics were taken at the Museum of Flight in Seattle where I work. The Tomcat was actually flown in here from Fallon and donated to the museum and then we had the paint job put on. Both planes are now out front of the museum as you enter from the main drag. The museum now counts in its inventory the old Champlin collection out of Mesa, Arizona along with some other nice fighter planes. The grand opening is June 6, 2004, the 60th anniversary of D-day. Come by if you're in the area. It should be a great opening.
Here's the website for the Collings Foundation:
http://www.collingsfoundation.org/
They travel extensively around the U.S. and if you go to the site you'll see their calendar. I believe a 45 min. ride in either plane is around $375 and it's deductable because the Collings Foundation is a non-profit organization. Take a ride, you'll never forget it.
As for the sex part of this thread, you can get sex anytime, but you can't take a ride in a WWII bomber every day. The sex will cost you more in the end anyway and it's not tax deductable(unless a kid comes out of it, lol).

Is there any way I could get the address for the museum? We'll be traveling extensively, full time actually, starting this summer and Washington is on our list. We plan to hit as many aircraft museums as we can while doing this.

Either that or he has better taste in partners than do you. Did SOB give you a good time, or are you merely speculating?

Thanks for correcting me, It looked to me that they were the tail of an F/A18. Also, I thought I had read somewhere that VF-103 was switching over to Hornets.
I was just looking at the 2003 base guide and directory, It doesnt mention anything about any switching though.
