can someone tell me what squad the 109E in this print is from?
It is hellscorner over England during the Battle of Britian

I can't tell what the nose art is.

But its a I. gruppe aircraft 3rd Staffel.

gelbe (yellow) 17 with the sides of the cowl are white.

We can assume its not eitther of the 2 ZG

The other planes look to be 1 He111 and 2 spitfires

i've seen the print go for over $700, it has 10 pilot sigs + plus the artist, from galland&rall to Tucker & Page to Jimmie Johnson & Gab
I think I got a steal as the frame is outstanding, gotta be 2 to 300 just for the matting and wood:

Its from I/JG52.  The nose art is a boar set in shield of red blue and white.

Yeah I se the color on the last image Eagler posted but I belive the wild boar shield was used in '41.

I believe Hptm. Rudolf Miethig of 3./JG 52 earned 101 kills and RK(top for 3./JG 52?)

Anyway:

Jagdgeschwader 52; I. Gruppe; 3. Staffel; gelbe 17 (also a high number for BoB)

I have seen it on I/JG52 Bf109E in 1940.
