I've read a few posts on these boards that refer to gun camera footage as being 'readily available'. How can I get ahold of some of these? I've seen some from time to time on the History Channel, but they tend to show only very short clips.

Its probably best to buy a video with guncam footage. Theres many available. Do a search on www.amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com) , you should find some there. Quite cheap too. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif) Hope this helps.

I do not endorse or sponsor this company, but I am satisfied customer of US Fighter Squadrons videos. Whispers Of Death, the second in the Challenge of Flight series, features lots of WW2 air to air and air to ground gun camera footage.

Well that was a pretty f*cking morbid bunch of videos. Nothing like watching a chinook flop on it's back or a F4 hammer into the edge of a carrier deck. The only ones I liked was the bomber that got it (which puts go to hell all over the "my bomber loses wings too easily" whine) and the carrier landing that clipped the tower. OTOH that pilot who splashed the fighter was probably lucky he didn't live to tell the tale or explain how it happenned (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
