How many of you pay your bills on line?
I do a lot of stuff on line, but not paying bills ... at least yet.
I'm a little worried about the security and ultimate wisdom of putting too much financial info in one place.
Pros and cons?

My bro has been using Yahoo Billpay for years now, he claims zero problems in at least 5 years... I just dont like my fin info
available to virtual thieves at any chance or risk, like I am any safer at the local bank right?!

I've been paying bills electronically for years. No problems.

No problems in 5+ years of doing online banking, bill paying, etc.

I might write one check every 6 months or so.. prob not that often. beyond that I get my bills just like everyone else but the money comes off my CC at midnight on the last possible day. So i get a 1 % kickback on the cc and they then take it out of my bank account on midnight of the last possible day thats due. so.. no real effort.. get 1 percent back and delay payment up to 2 months... and no checks to get lost or stolen.. not a bad way of doing things in my book.

No problems at all. I use either the vendor's own site or I use PayPal.

Been using Checkfree for years - no problems. Convenient too...

I've paid some for a few years, credit card payment, comcast, att, no problems so far. I don't use any service, just the websights of the people I'm paying.

I use auto-deduct for my YMCA membership, pay my Discover Card online each month. The only checks I write are to the mortgage company and for deposit in the household account (from my personal account).

I've been doing it for years. I use the billpay that comes with my checking account.

Only check I write is for rent. Everything else electronic.

Seems like I've been using online bill pay with my bank since forever ago. It's only gotten easier and I've never had any problems with it. Never used a third party bill pay service, though.

I've been using it maybe 5 years, since then I haven't had a reason to visit my bank. Whenever I need a receit I get it by mail. I also got a student loan online.

Just send me your social security number and bank account numbers. I'll make this as painless as possible for you.

Same here. No problems.

Ripsnort, thanks. Didn't you cash my paycheck for me last week at only 150% interest until Friday?

If the cost of a stamp goes up 4 cents next year, I may have to look into it.
===============================
The cost of mailing a first-class letter could increase by four cents or more.
Postmaster General John Potter Tuesday(03/23) warned the increase could go that high in 2006 unless Congress eases restrictions on how the agency operates.
He's asking Congress to help the agency become more flexible in responding to market conditions and for funds to cover anti-terrorism efforts.
Potter wants $3 billion in postal funds freed from an escrow account. He also doesn't want the agency obligated to pay $27 billion in military retirement benefits for former employees who previously served in the armed forces.
Tuesday was the last in a series of congressional hearings before members of Congress begin to revamp the law under which the post office operates.
