FR much improved for this radeon 9800Pro user

Tower  83 without clipboard 57 with
VidMem 128.2 Used 51.5
TotalVertBuff 13123 Active 3220 Inactive 9903

Triangle Count 4566
Location 618261,473034

Tearing is also gone...no more blue lines broken or solid outlining tiles.

Inflight FR however in high 30s to mid 40s side to side
and straight view FR (cockpit gauges in view) 54

all in all much better

Are you using the Cat 4.3 drivers too?

I am using the new 4.3 drivers and have seen ZERO frame rate improvement.

I suspect the only thing different is the new terrain detail slider under graphics setup.
Set it back up to the max of 3 miles and i bet your fps gain will disappear.

Yep...using the new Cats.  Cavalear is right...I didn't check the detail level.
