Title: Are Trumpeter models any good?

I was checking out their site and they have a 1/32 second corsair and P-38. both look good in the pics.

But are they any good really?

I have seen an opened kit of one of their Migs, and it looked pretty good.


They are also the only ones to have a 1/350 scale Essex class CV that I can find.

Anyone know of a review for the P-38 or Corsair?

They are supposed to go between each of the cylinders. Taking several more looks at the drawing provided in the instructions, I saw that it was the case. I can only say that I was confused by the very detailed drawing that shows the completed engine with the parts being added. This meant a lot of prying to get the parts off and replaced. During this evolution, I managed to break a lot of them and lost one set somewhere. It went 'zing' and I never even heard it hit anywhere so after a lengthy search, I gave up looking and placed the missing section in the bottom and the back.

Sounds like something I'd do!  On just about every kit I make!

Thanks for the links. The P-38 sounds cool.

The corsair sounds hit and and miss, I would not want to build it with the wings folded. :(

I have the 1/24th scale Bf 109 G2 and it is a great.
I would have liked a pilot figure and some more markings choices..
But the quality of the kit is increadable.
