Title: Firefight in the Sunni Triangle
Post by: SunTracker on March 26, 2004, 06:03:55 PM
Don't know much about it.  Video showed U.S. Marines firing like crazy while crouched behind some buildings.  Will have more info in a few minutes.

Good men die while Cheney's buddies become filthy rich. Well, if there is going to be war, we might as well get rich while we are doing it(well, except for the taxpayers and soldiers)

Oh its ok then. If a person dies at 18 years old  from an RPG attacks or if they die at 75 from heart attack Its all the same.

I think if it were your son or brother you might feel diferently .

Not the same, surely-one died from eating bacon, the other died with honor, defending his country, and helping others.

There's a roughly estimated (from press reports) running total here:  http://www.iraqbodycount.net (http://www.iraqbodycount.net)
There's no official one, as the CPA, whilst caring about Iraqi civilians enough to liberate them, apparently don't extend this care to the point of keeping statistics on how many Iraqis are dying or what they're dying of.

Wow, a lot of potential recruits to go to Iraq on this board !

Honor and stuff. Great, more meat, while GWB and Rummy get even richer.

8.789

If I understand correct the site, theese are minimum figures about civilians only.

I have mixed feelings about it.

The number is lower than I expected, so well done to the coalition forces.

But is nonetheless near 9 thousand people that will not enjoy the taste of the macdonald's food.
