according to some people on this BBS, we should probably start WW3 in Europe after this.. :D
Berlin, March 25, IRNA -- The US military is planning to withdraw as
many as half of the 70,000 soldiers deployed in Germany as part of a
major global realignment of American troops, the website of Der
Spiegel magazine reported Thursday.
The secret Pentagon plans envision the creation of smaller
military bases in several East European and Central Asia countries.
Some substantial US military hubs in Germany, among them Ramstein
Air Base, would however remain open.
The US Army would pull out over 60 percent of its 56,000 soldiers
in Germany, according to American military officials.
Germany is a major logistic center for US military operations in
Iraq, Afghanistan and Central Asia.
OT/216
End
anyway what military operation does US have in central asia ?
i guess its full of terrorist

Well, Europe is batting 1000 as far as starting world wars. :D
I'm happy that we are pulling troops and realigning them. All good news to me.

US strategic priorities are shifting in Central Asia, raising the likelihood that the United States will establish a long-term presence in the region. Under the Bush administration’s still-developing plans, US military forces hope to maintain small-scale outposts in Uzbekistan, and possibly Kyrgyzstan. Uzbek officials seem receptive to such an arrangement, but any move by Washington to extend the American military’s stay in the region could quickly become a source of friction with other regional powers.
I guess you haven't heard of what the US is doing in Afghanistan

yep, we are lost (http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/end.php)

So it was "secured" before?? All we did was wipe out the Taliban and allow a free government to be elected and run by the people.
Even though you are SADLY mistaken by saying we "left it unsecured", what makes you think we have to do ANYTHING to help a country who's government willingly allowed terrorists to operate and plan attacks against us? Are you from mars? We had every right to blow that place into hell and just walk away if we wanted to.
The fact is the we not only eliminated the threat, we also are helping the country move on and be free.
You really must be miserable.......just a miserable person, really. I guess your idea in response to the Taliban would have been to buckle down and bend over for them.

Yes taliban kept order in Afghanistan. Security were on much more higher level. Just look at the Drugs production.
The only one secure place is Kabul, because of NATO and rest of country is in choas.

The Taliban never had Afghanistan secured. You refuse to see the good because of your hatred.
