Title: Johnny Cochran's a Pansie
Post by: Capt. Pork on March 27, 2004, 11:43:46 AM
Compared to this guy...

Saddam's Defender (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4614259/)

Of course everyone deserves their day in court. It's just amazing to see the face of the man who voluntarily takes the place beside some of them.

I'm sure he's not doing it for the publicity.

Verges is known as the 'devil's advocate' in France.

He is a tough SOB in court, and a perfectly despicable character IMHO...

BTW, save the French bashing on this one, he is a private attorney, he can defend whoever the ***** he wants, he's not on a mission from the people or the government.

But he will dig out some dirt, he is very good at it!

Wasn't going for French bashing at all. Being a lawyer puts him in totally unique population on its own.

I'm taking the LSATs later this year, but going into criminal defense is a bit more than I think I can stomach. A fun life of contracts is more my speed.

"But he will dig out some dirt, he is very good at it!"

I'm sure alot of high ranking politicians might have a few nightmares over that.

As a defense attorney, he's probably very skilled at burying dirt as well.

It would be an interesting precedent for him to argue, in court, both sides of the trial--a legal equivalent of the mythical Neurosurgeon who operates on himself.
