This probably won't be valid for very long, but check out the picture on http://www.cnn.com (the main page). Quite an interesting difference between Bush and Kerry, eh?
-
Kerry looks like he's 3/4 of the way through the bottle in that pic
-
I dunno Bush looks like someone just stuck a hot electrode up his anus, Kerry on the other hand looks like death warmed over.
What with the "eh", eh?
-
Eh?
If Bush didn't look like such a greaseball, that'd be all the funnier.
-
I dunno Bush looks like someone just stuck a hot electrode up his anus
Hell it looks like he enjoyed it though

Are you afraid that he might start a war based on lies, ransack the treasury to give tax cuts to the rich, create record deficits and trillions to the national debt, lower environmental standards under Orwellian sounding initiaves, let the industries write their own regulations, promote the outsourcing of american jobs while presiding during a period of millions of lost jobs, fail to protect the country from terrorist attack and then squandering the goodwill of the world and our diplomatic intergrity by starting a unilateral war (see lies above)
I could go on. Oh I forgot, how much of all that was Clinton's fault??
What is scary is Bush*'s contempt for everyone except his cronies and his Big Corporation buddies.
A poor or middle class person suporting Bush* and the republicans is like chickens supporting Colonel Sanders.

psst, your man dropped out a while ago LOL

No... not afraid of tax cuts or wars... am afraid of some liberal war damaged loonie disarming all the "little people".... for their own good of course.

Noone is going to try to take your guns. That is an issue for the states to decide.
This election isnt about god, guns and gays, its about jobs, health care and Iraq.
btw - Bush* lied, soldiers died. Unforgivable imho.

No, I mean he's just plain freaking scary looking. Have you actually looked at him. Reminds me of TreeBeard from Lord of the Rings.
Haaarrrruuuuummmmm, indeed.

strk... you make it about what you want to make it about and I will do the same. I live in Caloifornia so I know what happens to personal freedom when all the democrats get together.
I am not rich but I would like another tax cut like bush gave me. Unemployment is low... The economy is growing and groups like the EPA and BATF are being cautious and lless intrusive... A bad man who was sitting on my oil for my El Camino is gone and as a bonus.... he isn't torturing people anymore...
I don't care about gay marrige or protecting the teachers union or allowing ellegal aliens to vote... and I sure don't want to give more money to protect the mauve snail darter.
I would like to get rid of all the gun laws the democrats have passed and not allow them to make new ones...
getting rid of democrats and not electing new ones seems to be the most logical way of getting more of what I want and less of what I don't.,
You guys that are voting with the women and voting democrat....Why did you ever leave your moms house in the first damn place?
Thats really all there is too it... don't overthink it.

Still hating women Lazs? btw please leave my mom out of it, no use in going there
And unemployment is high right now - official figures are 5.6% and unofficial is much higher since those that are coming off of benefits are no longer counted
Re the rest of your WOT - Im not trying to change your mind Lazs, I know you are going to vote for the boy king regardless of what he actually does in office.
Regarding your few hundred dollars in tax cuts - was it enough to offset your rise in property taxes, or the rise in state and local taxes? The states have to make up that money somewhere. You know the bulk of the tax cuts went to the rich, right? Hoping for some tinkle down?
I will say it again, if someone votes for Bush* I can tell one of two things about them - either they are rich or they are fools, because unless you are the former, Bush* isn't doing anything to help you. That is like a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders

bush shouldnt be compared to hitler.... have to admit that he is trying to act same way as hitler did, but he realy sux at it

I'd like to know where those tax cuts are coming from. It definitely isn't from cutting back on federal government spending or making a smaller federal government.

strk... unemployment is at 5% and they are counting it the same way they have allways counted it. only a naive person would believe that tired old wore out line about all the poor people 'who have simply given up looking for work"... that one get's drug out all the time.
the economy is growing at better than 4%...
but... Im not voting for Bush... I am voting for the guy who can beat the democrat. Beating democrats is allways in the best interest of people who are old enough to think for themselves. If you feel you can't be trusted to make good decisions or yu feel that you have the right to run other peoples lives then vote for democrats by all means.

I guess I am naive for thinking that almost 3 million jobs have disappeared in this country since Bush* came into office - meanwhile the work force nets 150k new workers a month (after counting retirees leaving the workforce) looking for a job.
Lets see, unemployment hasnt been this bad since - the great depression. No modern president has presided over a net loss of jobs during his administration.
but that's just me I guess.
Lets face it Lazs, Bush* record on the economy is piss poor, reminds me of his pappy on that score only more stupid and arrogant.
Spin it how you want, but YMMV. People are starting to wake up.
As for thinking for yourself - interesting way to frame the discussion. Wrong though. I believe that one should vote on the issues that are important to them. I want a good future for my family. I want America to be what America is supposed to be, not what the Bush Family Evil Empire wants it to be.
I never thought I'd see so-called conservatives defending a spend happy politician like Bush*. Why do we always have huge deficits under republicans? You can't trust a republican with your money?
Why give tax cuts to the rich that our children will be paying off for years to come? Do the rich need more money so some will tinkle down to us? Bu****!
-
5% unemployment is bad? wasn't it like 10% under carter?
4% growth in the economy is considered very good growth.
Evil empire? sounds like you have some problems completely unrelated to the subject. Democrats gut the military and start all kinds of new social programs that your grandkids will be paying for. Democrats pass all kinds of nanny laws.
The 10 round magazine law and assault weapons laws and importation laws were all anti gun rights laws and all passed with the blessing of klinton.
If bush veto's even one new gun control law he will have earned my vote over some war damaged vet pandering to the women democrats. If he even stops one socialist spending program... If I even get one tax cut....
The secret to getting yuourself out of debt is to quit starting new programs not to tax everyone more..
oh... and unless you are rich or willing to sacrafice greatly... so long as democrats are in power your children and their children will be condemed to an ever more decaying and ever more expensive public school system.

5% Unemployment is the U.S. Natural Rate. That's where we want to be. Anymore we have too much, any less we don't have enough growth.
-
do you think goron would have handled it better?
any of it? from the bubble his buddy slick let grow and burst to 9/11, really, do you? do you think ANYONE could have?
LOL
can you say GW LANDSLIDE?
have it from a very good source, the election will be such a smear as to be embarassing for mini-jfk.

1. you brought it up yourself before I even mentioned it (which I am about to do) - there are alot more people who are not looking for a job anymore or whose benefits have run out.
2. Bush Family - from Prescott's dealings with Nazi germany to Poppy's connections with the House of Saud, the intertwining of the Bush family and some nefarious characters in recent history is well documented. Hell, the Bin Laden family was the only people flying on 9-11 - Bush* let them leave the country with an open invite and special privilege before the FBI could interrogate anyone.
2A. It was actually Poppy Bush who presided over the largest Reduction in Force in the nations post WW2 history. I should know, I happenned to be in the US Navy at the time. It was high time it happened too, given Reagans bloated military budget and goals for a 600 ship Navy.
The reality is that it was the US military that went into Afghanistan was the military that we had under Clinton. THere wasnt any time to really increase forces. Im not sure that forces were increased at all really, under Bush*. He still screwed military folks by cutting veteran benefits and health benefits, cutting combat pay and keeping people in Iraq when the reason we went there in the first place was a damn lie
3. New Social Programs. Once children as young as 4 and 5 worked in factories, for pennies a day, 6-7 days a week, right alongside their parents. Once, the vast majority of senior citizens lived in poverty during their golden years. These are but a few examples of these terrible programs you are so keen on. Look around you - all the other Western countries have far more in the way of programs. It sure is tearing them apart isnt it? Next thing you know those lousy good for nothing liberals will be trying to bring health insurance to every American!!!
4. Your problem with 10 round clips is your problem not mine. I have three "hi-cap" mags for my 9mm. I really don't care what you think about President Clinton but I think its funny that everything is still his fault.
5. You sell your vote cheap to Bush*. Selling your vote for whatever meager tax break you might be given is unpatriotic imho. You are being selfish to not consider your nation and the implications those tax cuts has for America.
6. Which brings me to my next point. You get out of debt by not giving the treasury away to rich people. These folks got huge tax cuts, and Bush* sold the cuts to Congress by arguing that they would be contained within the PROJECTED surplus. Mind you we had a 4.5 (now 7.5) TRILLION dollar deficit at the time. Paying off the national debt and not running deficits is less important than tax cuts for the rich? Not in my America.
7. Pay teachers **** and noone wants to do the work. It is false to say that "we tried throwing money at the schools" - it never happened. Pay teachers what they are worth and give the schools enough money to get the job done and you will see a vastly improved school system. Oh no, but that might mean that Lazs will have to pay more in taxes, or not get his puny tax refund.
You gotta pay to play. Right now the Bush* admin is sending our country deeper into debt. That just isnt responsible. Neither was lying about Iraq.
But I don't really expect you to think about all this too much Lazs. I know that Im not going to change your mind. Frankly I would be suprised if you were still reading this.
However, I will say that someone who dislikes women as much as you probably has no idea how to treat one. ;)

strk... you are the one who used the tired old line about people have given up looking for work... every election year that one is used.
Sooo... you got your hi capacity mag (so do I) but screw everyone else? typical democrat attitude.
Giving people their own money back is "gutting the treasury"??? What treasury? they spend it before they even extort it out of us. The welfare state is a democrat institution.
We spend more every year for public education and get less... democrats are so in the pocket of the teachers union we will never get free. Pay em what they are worth? They are the highest part time workers in the country... the more you pay em the less they accomplish. private schools consistently do better with less..
4% growth is good growth. spin it anyway you like. I really don't know what horrible thing Bush did to you but you have a real hardon for him... either you are dumb enough to listen to the liberal media and take it to heart or.... your wife tells you what to say.
I allways find it hard to talk to democrats because the are so imature and emotional. I believe that is why most women and young people vote democrat... they are the easiest to work up and con.
But... I would think about what you are saying but if you think about what you are sayng you will notice that.... you aren't saying anything and you certainly aren't thinking.... hint... CNN soundbites are not "thinking".

Bruce Springsteen, "My Hometown":
Now Main Street's whitewashed windows
And vacant stores
Seems like there ain't nobody
Wants to come down here no more
They're closing down the textile mill
Across the railroad tracks
Foreman says these jobs are going boys
And they ain't coming back
To your hometown
Your hometown
Your hometown
Your hometown
Now, anybody want to put a year to that tune?
Oh, yeah.. it's a new phenomenon fer shure, dudes! China most favored nation? NAFTA? Get used to it chums... it ain't over, no matter who's sitting in the Oval.

toad... I agree. not much we can do about it but.... seat belt laws, helmet laws, cig laws... EPA and gun laws... helmets for bicycles... and every other bul**** nanny law ever concieved or ever thought of is the result of democrats... get rid of em and have more personal freedom...
simple way to vote... the demos sign in nanny laws and reject things I want... the repubs veto nanny laws. Plus... it wouldn't be a bad thing to get rid of our totaly worthless school system.

Whatever Lazs. Im not trying to change your mind. I have refuted every claim yet you still respond with this BS. I wonder who is the one actually doing the thinking.
Do you have anything real to say, or just this insipid mindless spin?
So if you hate women so much, who do you date/marry? never mind I dont want to know
BTW CNN is just more RW garbage. I dont watch it. I bet you watch Faux news every day - Hey do you think, as 73% of Fox News viewers do, that there is a proven link between Iraq and Al Queda before the Iraq Invasion?? lol fair and balanced indeed.
Fox = RW PRAVDA

I appreciate someone who will discuss topics since a little give and take is expected.

We appreciate your submission to the discussion.

I give better than I get around here as far as discussion goes. I at least try to explain my points while the wingnuts go from RW talking point straight to ad hominem attacks.

I must have missed something ? How did bush lie about Iraq?
Is It the WMD thing?
If so that Is very week people.
Sadumb insaine had 12 years to comply with the UN after the first gulf war.
Anyone remember that one?
Well he basicly told everyone to F@#K Off.
And spent the next 12n years raping and killing thousands of people.
Oh And ofcoures thumbing his nose at the UN the whole time.
Now Is It possible for the Bush administration to have made a mistake about WMD?
Well I know none of us have never made a mistake so how dare them right!
Look wether WMD is found or not And I do believe they have found some just not the quanities to make the world go golly look at all those WMDs.
LOL Iraq Is one giant sand box
you ever try and find the last terd in your cats litter box?
Dammed near impossible right?
Well just imagine how hard it would be to find WMDs in a giant sand box called Iraq.
Bush did a good thing by removing Sadum hussien from power can that be denied?
-
strk... as others have told you.... parroting soundbites is not "refuting". What people are trying to tell you is that you scare them much as the little soldiers of facism and socialism scare em... you are all sound and fury and.... soundbite.
you are angry and you don't even know why. or... you won't admit why.
And... I love women... I am fond enough of blind people too but I don't let em drive my car.
Heres a clue.... black people and minorities won't like you any more if you vote democrat... women won't want to lay you if you tell em you vote just like em... and... as you get older you will realize that you don't need the governments help and that poor people don't grow the economy and ..... the government doews not have any money... they onlyu have what they extort from you and me.

Laz, with a little polish, we could engrave that clue paragraph on a brass plaque and sell MILLIONS of them.
