Was checking some local deal inventories and I see you get a 180hp 2.5 liter engine and "leatherette"  (vinyl) interior for $43,000....      Heck you got honda accords with 240hp these days loaded for less than 30k...

I think the MSRP on the emblems is around $20k, so that might explain the cost difference.

Well thats my point, at $43,000 for the 525 you think they could throw in real leather instead of plastic seats.

You see I dont neccesarily think a $60,000 545 is oberpriced just beacuse it costs so much. But I do think that the 525 is a seriously stupid thing to buy,  I imagine you gotta be pretty eager for the BMW brand to pony up $43,000 for plastic seats and 180 hp - especally thee days...

HAH, you get your cars cheap! With our taxing system which doubles the factory price the M3 (notice its M3!) costs 99500 €, which is about 120k$.... Go figure.. and average salary in Finland is about 25k€ per year, and thats a pretty good salary.

Also fuel is about 1.07€ per liter.

I agree it's sad :(

But we need to check the average distance made per year , I think the Euro use to make less distance per year than an American.
That should compensate the hight price.

I'm an average driver and I make about 22/25K km per year.
I wonder how many km make an US driver per year I suspect it's more.

Less distance=less consumption
Less consumption=less demand
Less demand=lower prices

But only if the supply stays the same.

I think the average distance for the US is between 12 and 15k miles a year.

Certainly true in theorie Lazerus but ,you didn' t  put the taxs in your equation...
Of the 1 € about 80% is tax ...
and in the case of gazoline there is even a tax on a tax...

You do realize in some states you can get a house on 10 acres for around $60K

Not to mention soon as you drive it off the lot your losing that much more money

My brother in law just bought a new BMW M3 Convertible. And paid a ridiculous amount of money for it. Plus it couldn't look any more gay.

For the money I could of bought a Jeep Rubicon with mods and a garage full of bikes a new speedway bike or two and still have change for a deposit on a new house.

If you want to feel "Yuppie", you get a 3 series, as you can't afford a 5, and the 3 still kinda hurts, or you'd buy a 5.

If you are a "Yuppie" with money, the 5 series is a normal car payment, and kicks ass. The people with money buy it and don't care about the tag. I drove another one in Atlanta on vacation that was a trade in, it's the total ****. I want one, maybe if I get clever or rich.

If you have money, you buy the 7. No one here drives a 7, they are owned by motivated people, and flightsims are not on their plate.

Just saying.
