Can anyone tell me which is the best 21" crt for games under $700.00?
My NCR 19" really has a nice picture, but it's on the blink and I don't want to bother shipping the damn thing off for repair.
Im pretty sure I'll be looking for another aperture grill type. My video card is a Radeon 9800 pro.

http://www.anandtech.com has recommended parts lists for 4 types of systems, budget, value, high performance, and gaming. Check out their builder guides because IIRC they have 2 recommended monitors for each type of system and some of them may be 21".

Samsung SyncMaster 1100DF @ around $485 is reputed to be the best for the money.

If the Computer Pro Show comes to your town or city try to pick one up there. I picked up my HP P1100 series 21" that had been refurbished and came with a warranty for 2 or 3 years under $150.00
When I went to HP website to find the drivers for it, I found out it was an IT Professional series monitor, has all them extra hook ups in the back, and it's a flat screen and excellent picture. Looks like brand new as well.

Computer Gaming World recommends the NEC 21" monitor.
