We're trying to plan a bachelor party for a buddy who grew up in the Chicago area. He's flying in from Colorado, I'm driving from Michigan, and a bunch of others are coming from all over the place. None of us know the Chicago area too well, except for the bachelor. I've never been there except on family trips to the museums and such.
I need help... anyone know of any good bachelorparty-ish areas or places to go? The current plan is just for barhopping and drink a lot then crash somewhere downtown... we don't have anything more concrete than that planned. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

You could pull a Chris Farley and get a room in the John Hancock building! Just be sure to bring a ton of alcohol and snortin' material... have an ambulance on standby.
or!! You could call Tucker Max!
But seriously, I only know the Chicago area by street names and locations of landmarks. Not to keen on many good bars or restaurants.

Rush Street.

Go easy on the bar hopping if you have strippers lined up for later. You want to be sober enough to enjoy the show.

The areas to party, bachelor style, are probably:
1. Rush Street (as beetle noted): Where lawyers go to meet hot receptionists
2. Lincoln Park: The immediate post college hot neighborhood where recently graduated frat boys find recently graduated girls in little black dresses.
and maybe,
Wrigleyville: Bars and live music/entertainment.
For stripclubs, there are areas like Cicero (where the Mob keeps things nice and organized). There are also various riverboats around Chicago.

One of the nicest clubs in Chicago area, south burbs, beware though, do not stray from the main streets, it is not that safe an area west of the club

If you want to stay in the south burbs, then go to
The Oasis in Chicago Heights, check out their website, and look at the pics and you will understand why :), lots of the dancers from the area clubs hang out there :)
Not that I would know, I just heard it on the grapevine :)
Rush street is fun, but is old hat now adays,
Excalibur Club is ok, Crobar is ok, lots of clubs downtown that are ok, and I would recomend taking cabs if staying downtown, all the cabbies know the clubs, so just ask
I haven't hung out downtown in like 5 years after I quit bouncing so I am not all that familiar with all of it anymore
Have fun
