I just downloaded and installed beta 19...at startup got the message, your video drivers don't support zbuffering, update your drivers etc. Can anyone tell me what the most current stable drivers are that support zbuffering ? I've been using the 2183s for a long time. Thx in advance! :)

Aztec I lied! I DL'd V19 last night and I get the same message when I start. It runs but flickers--just like it sez.
I posted in the regular AH2 forum for suggestions. Prolly just a driver change is all. No biggie.
Well it DOES run AH1 no problemo.:D

I thought mine was frozen up too. You have to start the program to get rid of the error message. Move the clipboard if you have to and click offline, it'll start, then click out the error.
I found FR much improved--other than the flickering its cool.
My sys:
2.6 ghz intel
ASUS P4S800 MB
Win98SE
GEForce2 Ultra 64 mb
DX9.0b
512 of RDRAM
SB Live! Value

Guys I've remedied my fickering problem. Like I figured, all that I had to do was update the video drivers. I'd used the 30.82 detonators for so long without a problem it was one of those "if it ain't broke don't fix it" things.
Updating to the newest drivers from NVidia did the trick. I'm now running the v.56.64 drivers. Everything's great. Lots of new settings available in the display properties applet now.
AH1 runs fine too.

What video card are you running Drano ???
I tried the 42.xx and the 45.xx drivers and they didnt work on my gf 2 cards I had to roll back to the 30.82's
I'll try the 56.xx's if anyone else has them working ok
yea im part of the "it aint broke ,dont fix it club" too.

I downloaded and installed the 56.64 drivers and indeed no more message, no more flickering....however in the external view the planes are transparent. I can't really describe it...how can I go about posting them so you folks can have a look?
Also have no idea where to set antialiasing , anistropic whatever to hell it was, vsync etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

i have a similar setup to yours, and ALSO got those messages using the 30.82, and the 41.09 Det. drivers. So I switched to the Omega drivers, and no more message. Didn't notice any FR hit in the MA, but i DID go in and turn VSync back on, which doesn't affect the Omega Drivers, and Skuzzy says to always have vsync on.

Maby do some reading on them, and give 'em a try.

I think i'm using the most recent version based on the detonator 45.23 driver, but i've only tried them a couple of days (and they messed with the graphics on C&C Generals) and AH2 has as of yet to run WELL for me.
I forsee a computer upgrade in the near future when AH2 finally goes alpha.
