Title: vid card drivers

i cant remember who was asking about video drivers while i was in the beta server but here they are...

after i installed those drivers my frame rate went through the roof in ah1. i HIGHLY recomend them.

The omega drivers have vsync off by default, only the max increses the min stays about the same, If you look a little closer you'll see you're getting overlaping frames.

which version are those, and are they "official"?

hate to waste the time deleting reg keys only to do it again to get the video back up with 41.09

correct vsync is off, but i turned it back on. i forgot about that. no there not official nvidia drivers. could you explain what you mean by overlapping frames?

Why do you bother turning Vsync off? Skuzzy and I have discussed this in a thread a long time ago...

You will NEVER actually see the frames the system is reporting. What you see is limited by the screen refresh rate. So, if the game is reporting 200fps and your refresh rate is set at 100 you're only seeing 100fps. And you risk seeing parts of the frames you don't see (tearing) with vsync off.

In other words, your card is capable of displaying those high frame rates, but your monitor isn't.
