I'm glad to help you out. I tend to hang in the TA on Tues and Thus nights after about 10:30p eastern. If that doesn't work for you shoot me some mail at drano@hitechcreations.com or try trainers@hitechcreations.com which will go to all the trainers. If I can't get together with you due to timezone or whatever I'm sure one of the other guys can.

well i appreciate it guys, my biggest problem is getting someone off my 6?
-
This may sound funny but not intended that way at all.
Its best not to let them get there in the first place, it's very difficult to shake a decent pilot off your six one he's planted there.
You have to improve your SA, Situational Awareness, to detect them way before they are on your rear, once a enemy is at your 3 or 9 oclk you should be looking at them and preparing to defend against their attack. Good SA requires your head to always be turning around looking for hazards, similar to driving when you should frequently check your mirrors.
Check the radarmap often at first and look completely around your plane every five seconds or so. In enemy territory when you are expecting an attack, fly in a slight S pattern and look below you at your low 6 to prevent an enemy from sneaking up on you.
Believe it or not a good time to check your 6 is right before you kill someone too. You never know what part of the food chain you'll be and that thing your chasing might be bait for the threat chasing you.

On the subject of SA - I've been eating soup for over 50 years, and I still burn my mouth. "Funny, it didn't look that hot."

well i do check my 6, and try to turn to them or break before they get behind me, but i always get shot down for some reason, i mean i will look on my 6 before i even get in rang and when i am in range on someone, and no one is there, then boom i am dead:mad:

One of the best counter moves to an nme hard on your 6 is the rolling scissors. If performed correctly, it usually will force the bad guy out front...especially if his E state is higher than yours. The move involves a barrel roll http://members.tripod.com/~Zuel_DIA/topgun11.html
coupled with side to side hard break turns. The trick is to maintain vis of the bandit while scissoring. Once he commits to the move you made, reverse it up. If you time it just right, he'll pop out in front of you.
Best bet is to get with a trainer and have them execute the manuver with you.

Forgot to say...rudder control is essential for a rolling scissors...as well as snapshot gunnery. Dunno what kind of stick set-up you have but Thrustmaster sells a Top Gun Fox 2 Pro (USB) for about $35. It has a twist handle for rudder input. Or, you can buy a set of rudder pedels for $100. Best to decide up front for the long haul as switching from twisty handle to peds is a tough trnasition...least it was for me :) I went back to the twisty...LOL
