What's the most impressive stunt possible in Aces High? I'd guess flying a B-17 or Lanc inverted through a hangar.
Has that ever been done?
What stunt would be tougher than that?
-
watching b-17's and such dive bomb a field truely remarkable (*note the sarcasm*):D
-
...You know i never "thread the needle" by going through the hangar until last week. I don't know if the guy chasing me followed or not, all i know is that it was a fun ride... now i was hosing throught in a spit...i'd love to see some film of someone doing it in a lanc.
-
I would have to say, although not very impressive because anyone can do it. I was turning with 4 or 5 cons at an nme base a few months back and on the losing end.
I was low and slow and decided to fly through one of the fighter hangers. When i did I got 3 kills from guys who either hit the hanger or died trying to go through it. I don't know which because I wasnt looking backwards when it happend.
-
HAHAHAHA, thats friggn great Morph! Too funny all three guys augered. Dam I could see one maybe two but three is awsome!
-
Best one I ever saw was a 38 doing multiple loops thru a fighter hanger after taking off from a capped field...he did 3 or 4 before he either lost a control surface or just augered...but he was actually in a fight...pretty sure the Fm-2 he was tangling with flew right thru with him once or twice. I was to absorbed watching to swoop the 38...course 5 sec after he went down the ack came up and caught me (and the FM-2) right over the field.
-
Apart from rocket kills on birds taking off, my favorite is diving in on a vulchee spawning in the FH and blowing him to crap as you approach and fly through the FH. Good clean Amurrikan fun!

Rockets into a bomber formation. Lancasters I think it was, with a P-51D.
Also, bombed a cruiser with an A-20 at the same time a countryman was sinking the carrier with torps. My right engine oil was hit but other than that the plane was still intact, so I stuck around and shot up a PT boat. I was about to sink another PT boat when I got too close to a destroyer.
Bounced two hvy Mustangs with my B-stang. Got 1 smoking on the first pass and stayed with him twisting around down to the water. Lost sight of the other one. I smoked the first one just as I saw splashes out the side of my cockpit from the second one's bullets. Went into a scissors and forced the overshoot. Just as I smoked him I got a prox kill on a plane I never even saw, then a 109 flashed past and we got into a sloppy turnfight which devolved into a horizontal scissors. He overshot and I landed a few hits but no smoke, then overshot because I raised flaps instead of lowered them. He got some machine gun rounds into me but no damage and we went into scissors again. I stalled and he got auger kill on me.

I've seen 999000 land b17 on a carrier a few times---that's pretty impressive:eek:
-
Some guy had his wing shot off in some japanese plane but flew it away from the fight knife-edge and was able to land about 15 minutes later. That was a long time ago though.
-
I thought Id be cute, with a parada of cons behind me, go thru a Fighter Hangar. I thought it was odd that the tracers stopped. I looked behind me...the farking con went thru inverted!! LOL

Cool, I didn't know you could land on the support ships...I figured you'd just fall through 'em or explode on contact.
-
About a year a go I was having a really bad night , a ****ey night in fact then I went and engage a lone F4U on the deck shot him down and as I was about to Zoom back up 6 F4Us froma strike jumpped me I started scissoring them in my 190 A5 and while I wasdoing this apparently we got really lo and slow and 5 of them augered behind me while they spun out and the 6 th one over shot and I ripped his wing off, made up for the whole night :D
This was all in the NDisles map in the southern most base of the Eastern main island
That and killing 7 B-17s doing a suicide run on our CV in the Finn map :D while in an A-8

somone posted a film of an a6m doing crazy cht.
that was pretty cool.
landing a 234 on a CV i have seen done in the MA.
trick is with wind offline or H2H tons of "impossible" stuff can be pulled.
do it in the MA. then i'll be impressed.
-
Just for clarrification, my CA landing was done withOUT wind, as were the 2 times i've landed on a BH, and the 3 times i've landed on a VH.
But yeah, you can do some crazy watermelon with a bit of wind, like land a p51 on a church.
-
After trying about 20 times I finally got a p38 to go under the VH.
Try it
:aok

600 MPH 163 inverted through 2 FH's not quite in line. Got it on film!
-
It's worth making a note that,
Every aircraft in the game can be landed on a carrier. Most(it not all except the 163) can be rearmed and relaunched successfully.
The Val and kate are fun to try and land on pinpoints. (The trick to doing it on the CA is that that you can fly through that crane thing)
I'd like to see someone try and put a b17 or lanc on there in the MA.

How do you make it do that?
-
Don't think you could land a b17 on it, the wing span is too big.
-
Saw our XO Dracon take out a FP hiding in the hanger as he flew through it.

About 2 hours ago...:aok

Sure you can, ive done it numerous times.. From lancs to C47's.
-
Me and Innominate (i hope) were talking about landing a b17 on the CA, CV is easy.
-
Try and land Lancs going the wrong way on the carrier...
-
I can't remember if it was here or in Wbs , the latter I think, but there was a couple fellas that got real good at flying inverted thru the hangar deck of the carrier. Try as I might I could never do it...anyone remember who they were?
-
I wouldnt call this a stunt, but a rather priceless moment.. I have never been chased by so many similar planes.

down my list here...
Lancs through BH.
Any fighter through any FH or BH rightside or upside down.
190s,A6m,LA7 through VH
Land anything on carrier(262,AR234 were hardest)
262 doing all kinds a stunts (1 time in MA tried it and a p47 that was following me suddenly seen my tracers flying at him as i flipped around. LOL funny as hell)
landing backwards on a carrier. Taking off carrier with bombers is also fun.
Not sure what else thats all i can think of at the moment
-
Thanks Hun,
Landing B17 on Cv isn't all that hard... one trick I did was not only land but took off CV in the same B17!!!
Belly landing on CV.
I once landed a AR234 on CV.... ended up on parking it on its nose at very end of deck.
Best run I 've had is landing ten kills in B17 with kill #9, and 10 being with a single B17, these last two victims being Me262's.
Another good stunt was defecting.. landing at enemy town and have unknown enemy meddogg at the time pick me up in his GV. I USMC ever since.

Now that you mention it, your right! :D I thought one of the icons was different ;)

taking lancs and 17's off a carrier is really easy...
the most impressive stunt i would say is keeping your orientation in a cloud bank without the clipboard...
-
thats not really a stunt though.

Still want to know how you do that.
