The first game was TERIBLE! My god, you sim was helpless, they could do nothing on their own at all.

never understood what was so great about sitting in front your pc watching a sim sit in front of his for hours..  and its the number 1 selling series, go figure.

If you continue to read the article I believe it mentions that scenes like that will not be available in the finished product and that is a flippin shame. At least that is what I saw in Computer Gaming World before I left for Germany.
