Title: Deanna Dodges The Needle
Post by: rpm on April 03, 2004, 09:05:08 PM
From The Houston Cronicle (http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/topstory2/2484663) :
Quote
A jury of eight men and four women deliberated for about seven hours before determining that Deanna Laney, 39, was legally insane last Mother's Day weekend when she killed 8-year-old Joshua and 6-year-old Luke in the front yard and left Aaron, now 2, maimed in his crib.

She beat their heads in with a rock and she will eventually walk.

She wasn't up for execution anyhow, life in prison was the most the DA asked for.

Her kids weren't up for anything but she sentenced and executed them anyhow. I hope the survivor will heal.

Mutiple murders can bring capital muder charges in Texas to wich you get the needle.

I remember a Rowlett Tx womean forgot her name that was convicted of stabbing to death her two little boys and she got the death penalty.
