How wreid is tihs?

Aoccdrnig to  rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn't
mttaer  in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is  taht the frist and lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey lteter by it slef but the wrod as a wlohe.

LOL!  Yeah I know it's probably a repost, though I've not actually seen it here before.  Still makes me smile whenever I see it, though as I know only too well how true it is.  Fortunately, I don't have a problem with spelling but I tend to rely too much on spell checkers to catch any typos - the problem starts when my typos actually make another word!  :)

One day, quite a few years ago now, I was asked to type a letter in a hurry at work.  I didn't bother reading it through as the spell checker hadn't found any errors, and the person it was for signed it without reading it either so that we could get it in the post.  Next morning, she received a phone call from the addressee wanting to know more about a naked lady!   Turns out I had mistyped 'named'!  :o
