http://www.liberty.edu/StudentAffairs/index.cfm?PID=1378
Not only would I be gone within a few days, do they outlaw masturbation? Wasn't there something written in the bible about being fruitful and multiply? Sorta like singing hym's about wacking it -
"1 stroke at a time....sweet jesus......"
-
Your icon is enough to get you sent to the stocks for a day.
-
Wow. Is that a university or a boarding school for 12 year olds?
-
This is one of those times (many many many times) where I wish I had a more money than I know what to do with, go there and raise hell, er so to speak. :)
-

Its Jerry Falwells baby, used to be called LBC? (Liberty Baptist College)
and to think I missed my chance to run him over in '72 and took the shrubs instead...
-
perfect location for a streaking party:D
-
Liberty University...Patriot Act...what the hell is with naming something that is the exact opposite of the ideals suggested by the name?!!
BTW, Grun...I find it ironic that you raise an eyebrow at a place run by Jerry Falwell since it reperesents the exact kind of Amerikka that Bush and his religeous right/moral majority supporters would like to build. Obviously, anyone who disagrees with Mr. Bush and Mr. Falwell lack a moral compass.
-
my moral compass always points towards boobies!
:lol
-
i LOVE this place.
Only because I lost my virginity on the student lounge room floor of just such a place with almost the exact same rules.
:rofl

Uhhmm and I find your inability to undrestand that an individual like me, can hold a varey of contradicting political stances on a range of unrelated issues to be very stange and limited. Your view is too black and white - because I support the war on terror, oppose US haters, oppose what I percive to be counterproductive economic policies doesnt mean squat as to what I think or should think about other issues..
You should also consider that perhaps it is only you who has painted this idea into your head that the evil Bush conspiracy is trying to turn america in to something like this, I see no such thing, not even remotely. This school, as bizzare as it, is is a private institution and has the legal right to enforce any (constitutional/legal) conduct policies it wishes and it's members accept. But its a private selective membership instituon, its not a public oraginaztion. No president or political leadership could even dream to enforce such ideas nationally...
I know you must dislike Bush very much, but it would greatly help your credibility to cut down on the wishful fascist fantasizing and instead counter bush on m,ore sensible areas of disagrrement...

Somebody need to tell Wes Craven about this place. I really think he'd be interested.
-
most of these rules I feel are reasonable (kind of a "if you don't like it don't go" thing).
but this one is way out of line -
Participation in an unauthorized petition or demonstration
you actually have to check with the school administration before voicing an opinion.
it is a Christian college and I see nothing wrong with setting rules to try and adhere to those ideals.
but I've studied the Bible some and I don't think I ever saw where Jesus said you can't speak your mind without the deans aproval.

Actually this one is quite standard on college campuses today. Schools use it to control content of campus speech - ie they often dont give permits to non liberal non PC groups...

Heh, you get reprimands and fines for abortion. :lol

You guys do realize that no one is forced to go there right? In fact people actually pay money to go there. I don't imagine those rather prudish restrictions will hurt anyone. Unlike some of the antics that have killed many students at some less restrictive educational facilities. Freedom and liberty also mean you may go to a school with other disciplined and self-controlled people interested in focusing on education much like yourself.

He wasn't. His first miracle was to show up at a party and make more wine.

He never went to college either.

He better not try any of that stuff at liberty:
30 Reprimands + $150 Fine
(regardless of previously paid fines) + 30 hours Disciplinary Community Service + possible Administrative Withdrawal and/or possible 100% Scholarship Reduction. NOTE: For each accumulation of six (6) or more reprimands after 30, an additional $150 fine will be assessed.

he was also quite fond of speaking out against those who held themselves up as the authority of the day.
ya, I think they'd probably kick Jesus out of liberty college before he finished a semester.
IMO these types of Christian seem to miss the whole point of Christ, salvation, and the Bible.
the point (as I see it), is to read and understand the word of God, develope a close personal relationship with God/Christ, use the Bible and prayer as a guide to live your life in a way that honors the scarifice made in your name.
so when you read the Bible it helps you anderstand what you need to do in your life.
the people that miss the point seem to read through the Bible looking for things that they can use to tell others how to live their lives.

Apathy, you pretty much hit it right on the nose. Now - all we need to do is throw those guys without paintball rifle's in Tippman Castle at Skirmish USA and bunker them to death.

About men:
In pornography, men are apparently here to have sex with as many women as possible. Marriage is either a hindrance to their purpose, or irrelevant because fidelity is abnormal and possibly unnatural. In pornography, men certainly don't value women for their minds, since they don't appear to have discovered that women have such a thing.
lol got this from the pornography addiction page.......
they have a problem with this.............queers

Oh, and what's the difference between "unauthorized borrowing" and "stealing?"

oh oh oh, sat on a jury a while back, I can define theft for ya. You must have intent to deprive the legitimate owner of an items use. I would suspect that unauthorized borrowing means you intend to return the item but failed to get permission to take it. Hmmm, kinda obvious ain't it?

now THATS the college you go to pick up girls.
