I have a print by Mike Wooten of a profile of a Me-109E-4. The artist has signed it as well as Dieter Hrabak, Gunther Rall and Adolf Galland. I purchased the print at Virginia Bader's Fine Arts in Virginia back in 1990. It is professionally mounted and framed. I have been curious about its' worth. Any ideas?

Some impressive names on that. I'd pay quite a bit for it, if I had money. :)

Diable.....who is the Artist?
I have prints autographed also..by Trudgeon, Taylor and Phillips.
Any one of those 3 are very good and very well known. Also, is
there a number on the print?
-
Not more than $20... But since I like you and am generous I will offer $30 shipped. :D
Its prolly a several hundred dollars at least. Can you post a picture?

Here is a link for a pic of a print just like the one I have.
Click (http://pages.zdnet.com/gdortch/id12.html)
Scroll down to about just past the mid point and you will see the print on the right. The artist is Mike Wooten.

I just found that same site. :) Why dont you email the dealer and see what he is selling it for.

Was hoping to find someone in here that dealt with prints on the secondary market.
-
ebay has jacked the prices of all sorts of ww2 items(in particular LW) prices up. Check some of the prices on single photographs.
People must be paying for them, I would suggest do search on ebay and see what the prices are for comparable items.
-
Good idea. I also have the 190 print below it on the website although its unsigned.
-
eBay turned up nothing. Will try elsewhere.

OK...this might give you an idea.
Have a print titled "Day of the fighters" it's five 190s'
over Holland after intercepting B17s from the Schweinfurt Raid.
They are forming low over Canals, with a downed B17 that
ditched into a canal. There are houses, barges and boats
in the print. The print is quite beautiful.
It is autographed by Addi Glunz and A.Grislawski, another
autograph I can't quite decipher.
Glunz and Grislawski were 190 aces.
Considering what's on my print with the terrain etc. I paid
350 dollars for it about 4 years ago..cost me 300 to have it framed properly.
Print is done by Nicolas Trudgeon...one of top 3 artists in that venue. So...the above might give you somewhat of an idea
on what yours might be worth.

With those sigs, it is worth $150 unframed.

No better way than to have your own "auction" here, at least to what some are willing to pay for it. If the ending price is too low you can change your mind.

Selling it is not my intent. I was hoping to find someone on this BBS who deals in the secondary market and could give me an indea what its worth is. In that case, thanks Bhodi. I only paid $40 for it in 1990. Framing was about 40 bucks as well. Now, about that signed and numbered Erich Hatmann print by Jerry Crandall that I have...
