This got worse and it's floating when you fly. I guess it's the Z-buffering:

Geforce 4 Ti 4200, driver 56.72.
And still no GPS icon on the map.

I get the same thing as well.
It's something to do with transitions turn them off and that stuff goes away.

Driver 4.14.10.5664 latest Nvidia's

Yepp, that solves it, but the terrain looks really poor with the big squares.
Secondly, I still have some textures on the terrain missing, but very far away. That was before this update already.

I've noticed that the blue triangles are located on the other side of the hill (or object) with respect to your field of view.

Have you guys that run the Cat Drivers tried the Omega Drivers yet ?
http://www.omegacorner.com/
I use these drivers to softmod my 9500 to a 9700 and am not experiencing what you describe. The Omega Drivers are not only for softmodding, but can be used intead of the Cat Drivers.
--------------------------------------------------------
The purpose of the Omega Drivers is to provide gamers with an alternate set of drivers, ones that have more options and features than the original sets. The drivers contain optimizations, extra features (like OC capabilities), more resolutions and internal tweaks that can give them the edge in a gaming enviroment over the normal drivers, which are often tailored for synthetic benchmarks. All Omega driver sets are tested (unless noted) by myself in my own PC or in an alternate PC (in the case of the nvidia drivers) to ensure maximum compatibility and reliability.
--------------------------------------------------------
THE OMEGA DRIVERS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH ALL ATI RADEON CARDS: (IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THEY ARE DDR, SDR, PCI, AGP, RETAIL OR 3RD PARTY)
All In Wonder Radeons
Radeon 7x00/VE/LE
Radeon 8500/LE
Radeon 9x00/PRO/XT/TX
All Mobility Radeons (M6 and up)
--------------------------------------------------------
Omegacorner has drivers for ATI, Nvidia, and 3DFX.

Seems to line up with the edge of the map ie the far horizon......some sort of transition boundry that should be behind the hills not infront of them.
-
Me too. This was taken from a runway, looking out at the hills:

GeForce 4 Ti4600, Detonator 56.72

It looks like the bush polygons are laying on their sides and sometimes being rendered as transparent. It is more noticable from a GV's viewpoint.

Same thing for me as well...
Chaintech Apogee FX5700 Nvidia 128mb
Although.... I will say one thing, going down to 800x600 on the res made it a little better
-
Same problem
-
Uncheck Transitions in Video Settings and it will go away until they fix it.
-
Should be fixed for next patch. Along with the clip board stuff.
