Title: What BBS member do you most identify with?
Post by: muckmaw on April 04, 2004, 08:14:42 PM: Just was thinking..

Certain members of this board are very clear on what side of the issues they fall on. Others are a little more vague, or open to debate.

If you had to choose which member of this board you agree with most often, who would it be.

In other words, when you see a posting by "So and So" you often know in advance that your going to agree with that they say.

For me, it would be Yeager and Gunhertz, with some Lazs tossed in for good measure.

For the most part the I identifiy more with a persons methodogies in presenting an arguement than with what their arguement are. I certainly learn more for righties than I do lefties. Chances are that a person who argees with my arguements isn't going to challenge them.

There are people on both sides (and neither side for that matter) who won't change thier mind no matter what the strength of opposing arguement. That fanaticism is bad no matter if it's left or right.

But in general, I fall into the MT, Sandman, Dowding, Nash, Thrawn, Thud and Gixer camp.

You rarely learn something from people you agree with.

There is a ledge though over which just hatefull ignorace resides..even if those guys agree with me I dont respect them nor like to associate with them.

Its been a trying few years on the BBS, just as it has in the world. Conflicts are to be expected. I have had many of my preconceptions changed by debate here. Seen points of view that I certainly would not have found on my own. Its worth the bruises to me.
