Storms generally suck. :)


However, after spending four months riding around on the glass pond that is the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman, we hit a typhoon while heading towards Australia. It was a fun, a nice change. :)

Watched a ton of Reservists get SICK AS A DOG for days while in the Bermuda Triangle and riding seas much like that while in the Navy.:lol

and yet another reason to continue to be terrified of water that is deeper than what i can touch/see the bottom.

Been on a couple of ships and thought "darn these things are over engineered" - decided now the're not !!!! See the tug / supply vessel on page 3 ????? :eek:

ive been out in similar sea states and belive me...its not those waves that gets you seasick.

from what i have seen its the constant medium to small waves that gets to newbs.. in the really heavy seas you are to busy.

Pitching and rolling never really bothered me... it was the heaving that I didn't like.

After awhile, sea sickness doesn't make you sick or queasy. It just makes you tired.

very true

its "fun" to get back on land again too.. you just can't walk in a straight line for awhile :D
