Title: Hellboy or Dawn Of The Dead?
Post by: SOB on April 08, 2004, 12:48:55 PM: They're both playing at about the same time today and I'm gonna see one of them. I'm leaning toward Dawn of the Dead. Whaddya think?

i think i'd rather watch TOB's "Trouts gone wild" low and under budget 8mm film before i saw another zombie film.

go see Hellboy, and drink some DP for me.

Hellboy = 80% CGI .. I'll pass. same plague that ruined the Star Wars movies.

Post by: Makarov9 on April 08, 2004, 03:40:50 PM: Hellboy was a blast...and I'm not a comic book junkie. Cool story and lot's of great action. Having the main character have a pissy, sarcastic attitude really added to the movie.

Hmph... I would have pegged you as more of a "The Prince and Me" type.

Post by: Mini D on April 08, 2004, 04:50:41 PM: Dawn of the Dead was pretty decent, but there's not really much to it other than repeated scenes of fighting off zombies. The only real twist is these zombies are super fast and agile as opposed to walking really slow like the original.

Hellboy was a pretty good flick too. It was pretty well balanced as far as story and special effects go. Using "rasputin" as the villian was a bit cheasy... but the rest of it is enjoyable.

Post by: SOB on April 08, 2004, 06:05:10 PM: I saw Dawn of the Dead. Yay, zombies, and more zombies. I forgot about the little girl from the previews. Fantastic Zombie Cheese, I rate it 4 tubs of popcorn and a $5 soda! (that's about 4 stars in "the man's" rating system)
