I do have to say that the screen shot of the B-26 has to be one of the best rendered WWII aircraft in a sim I've ever seen - imho!
Very, very, VERY well done.
I can't think of any other time in an online sim I've been so eager to try out a buff.
The WB's Dauntless comes close but the AH B-26 has given me a fresh shot of juice.
Thanks.

Ooh, that IS nice (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I hope that 26 is ready PDQ, I can't wait to get me hands on the controls =)
(course, I'm hoping for changable gunsights in it too =)
-
...wonder if I could change its annoying aquarium nose into steel nose with lots of guns in it... (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Where are they??
-
under the NEWS ubb board there was a screen shot posted.

Please folks! The B-26 is NOT a BUFF.
BUFF refers mostly to the superfortress and alot to the B-29 but the B-26's proper nickname is the Baltimore potato. It's short wings provided no visible means of substenace (sp??) Leave the term "buff" for the Big Ugly Fat F*ckers that deserved it.

If your in range, so is the enemy.
-
I think it was "no visible means of support"...
-
That was it, thanks Raxx, I forgot the exact phrase.

LOL ...ooops sorry. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Not familiar with that bird, but it seems not to have ball gunner.
Can it defend itself from attack from below ?
Can't wait to put some 30mm in it (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)
-
heheh no lower defense means they are going to fly LOW (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Hah HAH MUHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
-
The B29 was sometimes called "the Big A**ed Bird", not the "Buff".
The B29 was officially named the Superfortress by Boeing.(Shortened to "Superfort" by those who flew her.)
The Buff is the B52.(ONLY)

Goombah - "BUFF" was a termed used by the USAAF before the B-52 existed.

Hristo:
No ball gunner but it can almost outrun your 190... good trade I think (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
Goombah:
Big assed bird referred to all the large bombers, it was a generic term not specific to 1 (I have never HEARD of anyone calling a B52 a "buff" Buff was a WWII term...)

If your in range, so is the enemy.

B52's are called BUFF's, but not during WWII. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Who cares?? Wtfgas?
Really.
"Buff" has been synonymous with any bomber in the Brand AW and Brand WB sims for over 10 years.
Just like "PORK/PORKED" is synonymous with people bombing bases to make a base unflyable from.
Or fighterbombers being called "Jabos" - regardless of which side they fly.
So in the future spare me and you the trouble and don't bother posting in one of my threads if you're going to be a gramar nazi.
You may return to your threads whining about whiners, Nikis ripping wings on take off and
UFOstangs giving Fishu and ulcer.
