about 20 blocks from ghosth.
-
Not too far from Maddog and others near Bay Area
I saw the "wineman" handle online and wondered if he's in the biz, as i am and flkjkt,
by the looks of his location he may be?
-
Yes he is. So is Vaderr. Wineman is the head winemaker at a winery in Placerville. I received a wonderful tour their a few months back. Vaderr sells heavy equipment. He has put me up a few times and I always go away a few pounds heaver due to the hospitality of he and his wife. :) I have met every dog in CA except Ren. Though Vaderr and TeeeRex have met Ren and gave an excellent report. :)
If you spend some time with Maddog he will remind you of one of the guys on the radio talk show "Car Talk". He has a New York accent and quite a sense of humor. Mak built a couple systems for me, puke and teerex are also givers. I drove to the 2002 con with SunKing and that fellow is amazing. And that is just the CA group. :D

Bastage GA!

Looks like I live in the same town as Nifty (Pensacola) and probably 3 hours from the Midi's.
-
I can throw a rock at Maddog.
Come to think of it, I think I have..

About 100 miles due west of banana. :aok

Bigc316, What city?
-
Eegad... I'm surrounded.....
-
Hey Ghosth, I live in St. James Mn. Not very big town but its not bad.:D
-
Well Grits I am about 4.5 hours (my driving style) from you and Nifty and about the same from the Midi family. This summer I am coming down to the coast for about a week so I will get in touch with you before then and maybe we can get Nifty with us and go get some beer and seafood.
-
Nifty might do that if he is not out chasing women. ;) He has actually missed a squad night or two due to a date! Can you believe that???
LOL Soul where in Yolo county?
-
Looks like me and Sarge are attached at the hip.
NUTTZ
-
Guess I am pretty close to the Alberta guys.
-
Got Sour and Swager on the opposite end of Lake Ontario (I'm in Toronto) and then there's Coyote and Starbird in Michigan.
I may have to drive down to Hamilton and pick up the lanc they have at the war museum (last airworthy one boys & girls) and do a couple of milk runs :)
-
LOL Soul where in Yolo county?
I'm in Davis, girlfriend is in a PhD program at UCD. I have to mention that because Davis is full of weirdo's who drive me nuts on a daily basis. :)
But I grew up in Woodland, and I went to school in the city.

I'm going to live smack dab in the middle of em--moving to Wetaskiwin in June.

mmmm, about 5 hours NW of Blutik
-
My niece is going to Davis starting next year. She is graduating Valedictorian at Summerville High school up here in Sonora.
Woodland? South of Redding a couple of hours?
Sax your in Canada? I never knew that. :)
Too bad your not closer to blutic. He is our Squad veterinarian and a great guy. :D
Adogg I have met sour, but none of the rest you mentioned. I hope to meet swager, starbird, and coyote at the 2004 con. :) An old squadie “Harppa” hosted swager in Finland for a few days. Harppa has been out to see me a couple of times and he had glowing reports about swager.
-
daddog you live in one nice place to live.
i bet you see lots of marines to.
i live closest to renrael.
-

Damn, too bad didn't look at this before (Daddog's fault for not linking this until today on our squad BBS. :p ) Midi came over from LA with his family and Saturday we hit the Naval Aviation Museum. Woulda been cool if Grits met us out there. :)
Anyways, let me know when you're coming down Reschke. Aren't you the UAB fan/grad? FSU is playing UAB again this year. Dunno if I'll have an extra ticket or not, but if I do, you're welcome to have it. :)
As for Grits, anytime you want to grab a beer, lemme know.
-
We have a couple of friends who live in Pensacola now and we are coming that way this summer. I have wanted to get back down there but haven't had a chance in a while.
Yes, I am both and a former player there so I will be coming down to the FSU game this year but I should have a couple of extra tickets of my own. I doubt my wife will want to make the trip down with our two boy's but you never know with her.
-
I guess I am closest to Sarge.
You gotta look way over to the right of the map. About 800 miles east of South Carolina you will see a small dot.
-
I didn't know you played. That's cool! :) I played too.
in the band. ;)
-
I live a little way away from you all :)
Used to be a dog though..

Nice to see you James :)

Hey Betown! :)
Your sig says that you were in the 332nd Viking Squadron, which is no relation to our 332nd Flying Mongrels. Freudian slip, or were you a member of that squad, too?
BTW, when you coming back?
-
along way from any of you-alltough, if you put me up in a bed i could live near any of you :D

sarge closest to me ....in uk here

Well...
I joined the 332nd Flying Mongrels way back in the old Warbirds days. I was actualy one of the original members (Red Flight Leader back in the day) GA, who was/is the CO of 332nd Viking Squadron went out on a wing and decided to make a European contingent of the Mongrels. Effectivly, the 332nd Vikign Squadron and 332nd Flying Mongrels are sister squadrons (or at least they used to be)
When the Mongrels changed there flying hours to a more US based time. I went and joined the Viking Squadron as there "Trainer" effectivly. I darted in and out of Aces High at this time due to my lack of time and the dreaded women.
At this time I was also an AH trainer & a member of the events team for a short time too. I really enjoyed it, but I just didn't have the time to commit to the two. So I had to pack in the Events thing. Still trained for a while though :) Still enjoy going for a fly now and again. Although I am a little rusty.
Squadvid who flys for the vikings is my little brother... He's now actualy scary good as a pilot and he can even kick my ass. We winged up at the UK con last year and if my technical problems hadn't got in the way we would have gotten a whole lot further than we did on the 2 vs 2!
Anyway..
There is the story!

About 90 miles S.E. of Ozark.

Galesburg Illinois is my 'home of record' and my hometown. I actually live in the Olympia Washington area right now.
It's one of those army thingies. If they tried to keep up with where I go on a regular basis they would have me all over the map (Colorado, Texas, Kuwait, Korea, Iraq, Washington all in the last five years).

Our squadie "wineman" is the head wine maker there. :)
This map is due to be updated. We have lost several to WWIIOL, but have gained a few in the past month. :)
