At first I thought you were displaying a friction burn or something, then I read the article, damn that sucks. If it aint one thing it's another. Camel spiders, scorpions and flying teeth, what a wonderful country.

I wonder how the natives avoid this?

If the natives don't see it, its likely because they have built up some kind of immunity to the parasite and/or their body doesn't react as violently to its bites.

I wonder if the solution to the Iraqi problem is actually as simple as sending alot of insecticide? I mean, wouldn't you be crazy too after being raised there?
