Hi,
I'm getting a lot of screen lock-ups (anywhere from 1/2 second to permanent ones) also my system is booting me every so often. 99% of the time it is when I hit my mic buttons to talk that this happens.
Sometimes but not always I get a dvx error in a blue screen, I have tried reloading the drivers but it hasn't seemed to make a difference.
I have included a copy of the DXdiag below,

Sorry should say VXD error
-
That error has to do with the AC97 sound device. You need to check and see if there are any updated drivers for it as the current ones are not even reporting a date to DX.
Also note, that this is a software based sound device. Make sure you have your hardware acceleration for the sound device turned down at least two notches.

Thanks Skuzzy,
I already have sound acceleration on minimum, but i'll check the drivers for the ac97
