Its time for Canada to correct the problems of harbouring terrorists, war criminals and thieves.
We have become an International Joke on our stand and I for one want to see change in how we allow our welfare and health care system go towards supporting and funding those involved in terrorist activities.
Its no freakin wonder why we aren't attacked, We are to lax in our laws and provide safe haven for the human garbage that walks this earth.
-
Them and all those clowns at Ontario Hydro and OPG should get the boot.
-
Well, at least you guys know who and where they are. Here they say nice things and lay low, then they hijack an aircraft.....
-
terrorists have no reason to attack canada, they dont screw with anyone
-
Pretty good propaganda for the west.
Islamic fighter injured but denied aid from those he supports and must seek help from those he opposes. This should be played up worldwide. Maybe it will cause some of the more reasonable to reconsider their animosity?
-
You know, canada should just attack someone. No one would see it coming.
They show up at Turkey. We're here and we're going to take it. And we're naming it Chicken you jerks...

yes but they do align themselves with the "infidels" and if they are an easy target I wouldnt say that they are exempt from attacks.
-
Well they did attack some third world country back in 1812, whipped their arses and set their capitol on fire.

Put your head back into the sand, you'll be safe. But remember that while your head is comfortably numb under groud, your bellybutton is sticking up!
There was a sci-fi movie, where the earthling wanted to "negotiate" with invading aliens. The Earth representative asks
"So, what do you want from us?"
"we want you to die" was the reply.
That's all. Just give it to them and they'll leave you in peace.
Geez!....
-
Sour, it was a joke from a comedian named Jeremy Hotz.
-
I thought the RCAF team was called "The Red Arrows". Saw them perform at an Air Show a few years ago...not too bad.
-
Canadians, as usual, are being passive and apathetic.

Why dont the decent canooks just kill the bad ones then join up with the US and become the largest state in the union? We could use a few good hockey players.

It would be alot easier to say that they do not attack Canada because they do not want to lose a base of operation. If they were to start deporting suspected terrorists, would they then be "screwing" with them?
Just because they have not attacked Canada does not mean they like Canadians. I believe there are Canadian troops in Afghanistan?
-
yes there are canadians in afghanistan. think about how much..say britian gets involved in overseas operations compaired to canada. i kinda like their foreign policy

Oh BS, I'm proud to say that we are like number 6 on Al-Quaeda's top 10...okay top 7.
And why is that? Might have something to do with kicking some Taliban bellybutton with our Yankian friends in Afghanistan, were we are now commanding UN forces. While also maintaining our Bosnian forces and now Haiti.
As far as the the Khadr's are concerned, they are Canadian citizens as, much as you are Ping, and so they have rights.. If they are terrorists then charge them under the Terrorist Act and give them thier day in court.

Red Arrows are from England, and they rock!

snowbirds, those are the people who clog up our expressways with tags that say "je me souviens", IMO they ain't souviensing fast enough. still they do come down here with lots of money and they part with it easy enough. even though i much prefer the ones that say they are mine to discover.
-
Sounds better than having people come up here and tell me to live free or die.

I never would have thought that someone could topple that salty old dog's post, yet here we are.
Storch close enough but it's "Yours to Discover", a place to stand a place to grow Ontari...ari...arioooooooooo.
Hey one peeve with you Americanuck Summer BeaverS and that is STOP driving 55 mph in the fast lane for God sake people, yield right unless to pass. When i'm coming up your anus at 85 mph flicking my highbeams move the focke over before i'm a few inches behind your bumper ready to stamp it with a GMC logo.
Thx..

Thrawn, do a search and discover how many wanted war criminals and general scum have taken refuge here in Canada because of our lax laws and overly generous welfare system.
It is mind boggling that we as Canadians allow this country to be used as a base of operations and allow them to slither back to soak the welfare system and heal their wounds using taxpayers health care money.
Those people should have their citizenship revoked.
All our beloved prime Minister had to say was, "Show me where these people have committed a crime in Canada."
So It is now clear that It doesn't matter what people do outside the country, they are welcome here.
Our Laws need to be changed Thrawn.

Signed the petition.... thanks for the link.

Ahmed Said Khadr's 14-year-old son, Karim, lies in the military hospital in Rawalpindi, shot in the spine in the same battle that killed his father. He is paralysed from the waist down. Maha would be happy if her children died the same way. "You know we are promised that we go to heaven," she says. Zaynab says, "I'd love to die like that. I'd love my daughter to die… even if [it is] simple, very simple, naïve," Maha says. .............
.................. Why does everybody say you killed an American soldier? Big deal.
On behalf of most Canadians I'm sure, I extend my deepest apologies to our American friends for this insulting and disgraceful situation. I would love to see a plebiscite on this issue, but the multicultural vote needy Liberal party that's been running a benevolent dictatorship here for longer then most remember, would never permit this to happen.
Although I spent 17 years serving my country and was awarded the "Canada Decoration", in the last two years I can honestly say I'm absolutely ashamed and embarrassed to admit I'm Canadian. To read some of the utter nonsense written by fellow Canadians here about the rights of these terrorists, lacks any common sense and simply flies in the face of any decency and respect for those Canadians that have died in the defense of our common interests to defeat terrorism. They sound like they've been written by some puerile academic who's been hiding in some teaching institution, or one who's saddled up to the trough of the Liberal government civil service far too long, with obviously little real world experience. I feel sorry for those kind of people, especially if the evil violence these 16th century backward bigots tend to breed ever comes knocking on their personal door.
The strange thing is I'm sure most believe the rhetoric they spout and nothing will ever change their viewpoint except personal tradgedy. If that were to occur, I'm sure they would honesty look stunned and wonder how and why it happened to them or their family.

Badger

Badger, Ping thank you for your thougtful post. I have often wondered what happened to the Canadians that I thought were truly friends. While in the service of my country I had the opportunity and honor to participate in Nato excercises. This brought us in contact with many sailors and airmen from allied nations.
I found the Brits and the Canuks to be friendly, affable and fun to socialize with. Few if any exhibited the shameful far left ideology spewed forth by most Canadians on this forum.
Torque, ROTFLMAO. We have the same issue here!!! we see far too many of our Northern neighbors fleeing the cold driving along I-95 or I-75 at 55mph perpetually causing slow downs. This has prompted many motorists to sport bumper stickers proclaiming that "when I retire I'm going to move up north and drive slow"
Thrawn, no one could possibly suggest to our Canadian friends to live free or die. Sadly you have given up your rights to true Freedom. Beside that issue I'm not from New Hampshire but from Florida where we are currently very proud of our website and the orange

I've lived in the U.S. on and off for several years. Enjoyed it a lot and plan on retirement there shortly to get away from the 54% personal income tax rate.
Great people and it's terrific to see a true democracy in action, where one really gets to elect the leadership and vote on major taxation expenditures through "Propositions", particularly without any Supreme Court crippling "not with standing" clauses placating anyone. ;)
Thanks for the feedback.
By the way, just curious ..... have you ever served your country in any capacity?
Regards,
Badger

" it's terrific to see a true democracy in action, where one really gets to elect the leadership"
A "true democracy" where a political candidate can have half a million more votes than the other and loses?
-
Yes the oh the "you lost the popular vote" myth raises it's ugly head. yes a true Democracy (which it isn't, thankfully so. it's a consitutional republic) where over 1/2 million military votes (absentee ballots) were not admitted by the Dem controlled dept. of elections all across the country for fear of the predictable outcome. The zany dems :rofl I'm so thankful for them.:rofl What a great and inexhaustible source of comic relief, when they don't hold the reins of government. Someone should explain the machinations of the electoral college to westy. psssst it's been in use since the 18th century. :rofl Just like a dem to want to take his ball, bat & glove home when the 1st inning isn't going his way. :rofl
-
back to the books for you westy.... read how presedental elections are suppossed to work and then you will see that it is not a "true democracy' but a represeentitive one.
A true democracy is all the white guys voting to send the blacks back to africa.

Storch, get a grip. I abhor the Democratic and Republican institutions and did not and would not vote for Gore and Bush in 2000. Just cause you're a lemming doesn't mean everyoine else is.
I know what the process on how American presidents are elected is Lazs and that is why I posted what I did. The electoral college method became obsolete a long, long time ago. Along about the time that the agragarian society, the horse and buggy and "one page" local newspapers did.
-
Irony is Badger becoming Orlando Bosch's future neighbour.
-
If it is obsolete and unworkable then change it but I for wone was glad to see that the womenly city dwellers hand wrigers didn't dominate the election.

Hmmm, looks like there is a legal method to remove citizenship from immigrants.
From the Citizenship Act.
"10. (1) Subject to section 18 but notwithstanding any other section of this Act, where the Governor in Council, on a report from the Minister, is satisfied that any person has obtained, retained, renounced or resumed citizenship under this Act by false representation or fraud or by knowingly concealing material circumstances,
(a) the person ceases to be a citizen, or
(b) the renunciation of citizenship by the person shall be deemed to have had no effect,
as of such date as may be fixed by order of the Governor in Council with respect thereto.
Presumption
(2) A person shall be deemed to have obtained citizenship by false representation or fraud or by knowingly concealing material circumstances if the person was lawfully admitted to Canada for permanent residence by false representation or fraud or by knowingly concealing material circumstances and, because of that admission, the person subsequently obtained citizenship.
1974-75-76, c. 108, s. 9."

Note that the Governor in Council is the Governor General wearing a different hat.

Excellent Thrawn.... :aok
Now, if we could just find a Liberal politician or bureaucrat with the courage to use it, there might actually be some justice served.
A follow up just in case anyone really believes Ms. Elsamnah and her family are genuine in their new found belief in our values and way of life....
http://www.globeandmail.com/servlet/ArticleNews/freeheadlines/LAC/20040410/KHADR10/national/National
Last month, in a TV interview from Pakistan, she praised her late husband as a martyr for Islam and said he chose the right path for her four sons. Taliban-controlled Afghanistan and its training camps instilled proper values, she said. She insisted that the time the Khadrs spent in the compound with Mr. bin Laden was better than a life in Canada, where her boys could have become homosexuals or drug addicts.
Asked yesterday how she felt to be home, Ms. Elsamnah simply said, "It's very nice."
Right Ms. Elsamnah.....
Now let's get right down to the local Liberal government "hand out" office and get those $1,500/month family level welfare checks flowing. Don't forget to visit our finest teaching hospitals and get your son fixed up like new under our free universal health care system, so he can quickly get back to being a martyr for Islam using his valued Canadian passport. Oh, and one last thing... perhaps if you find the time on the way back from one of our various free food banks, you could visit Pierre Elliott Trudeau's gravesite and thank him for the charter of rights and freedoms that handed you this gift horse, one that you'd never see on an Islamic fundamentalist theocracy.
Regards,
Badger
A very disgusted Canadian ..... obviously....

I'll sign the petition. Why isn't there a petition to ask the government to fix the obivious problems in the screening process? That's what needs to be changed.
