:rofl :rofl :rofl when no one is listening and you can't sell ads this is what happens.
After just two weeks on the air, Air America Radio, the fledgling liberal talk-radio network featuring Al Franken and Janeane Garofalo, appears to have encountered serious cash-flow problems.
The CHICAGO TRIBUNE is developing a story, insiders tell DRUDGE, on how the network was pulled off the air this morning in Chicago and Los Angeles, the network's second- and third-largest markets, because, the owner of both stations said, the network bounced a check and owes him more than $1 million! A charge the network strongly denies...
A Chicago source familiar with the situation said a Multicultural representative showed up at WNTD's offices Wednesday morning, kicked out Air America's lone staffer overseeing the network's feed to the station from New York, switched over to a Spanish-language feed, and changed the locks on the doors...
Air America filed a complaint Wednesday in New York state Supreme Court charging Multicultural with breaching their contract and seeking an injunction to force Multicultural to restore the Air America broadcast on both stations, the TRIBUNE has learned... Developing

LOL... Boooooshh strikes again!!! :rofl

LOL....saw this on Smudgereport.
The truth is that AA is putting their payments in trust because the leasor of the airwaves in the LA market is billing both AA and another station for the same airtime. AA is witholding checks until this is hashed out in court.
The problem is with Arthur Liu of Multicultural Media. Can you guess who he supports for president?
Statement from AA:
Air America Radio is temporarily unable to be heard on WNTD in Chicago and KBLA in Los Angeles, but Chicago and Los Angeles listeners can still hear our broadcast on the web at airamericaradio.com and on XM Satellite Radio (channel 167).
MultiCultural Radio Broadcasting's conduct in this matter has been disgraceful. To shut off a broadcast that listeners rely on without warning and in the middle of discussions is the height of irresponsibility and a slap in the face of the media industry. In addition, it is a clear violation of their contractual obligations, and we are seeking legal remedies against them in court.
My comment:
You can see by this type of falsified sensationalism in sites by hacks like Drudge how the right fires up it's base....sad realy.

Why should we belive your case more than the opposite?

lars quick send them a check - LOL

LOL! This one was particularly funny. At first glance I thought someone from SNL wrote it. But I quickly realised it was much too funny to have been written by someone from SNL.

You know, i've been thinking about this recently. A liberal radio station really isn't that great of a good idea.
Most democrats are limited into inner cities and use public transportation. And you listen to the radio most in your car.
Most conservatives are out of the cities and travel a lot in cars. They have a lot of opportunities to listen to radios.
They get an A for effort, but a C for execution.

LOL !
Why do they need their own station? They own the airwaves of Public Broadcasting, paid for by all of us, and seldom allow anoyone with a right leaning on the programs.
-
What they need are corporate sponsors:lol
-
Maybe moveon.org will sponser them.
-
Whoa... not getting into the fancy words like "us", "them", "they" and "we".
I just think arguing that people rely on a radio program is pretty damn funny, especially one that's 2 weeks old.

As shown before, Drudge will falsify, insert unspoken quotes and outright lie in his reporting AND in his 'headlined' comments regarding links to reports.
He himself states that he's incorrect up to 80% of the time and leaves it up to his readers to figure out when it happens....he doesn't know how to print a retraction IMO.

There is also the time where he used out of context quotes regarding Gen. Clarks testimony and Drudges assertions that Gen. Clark was in support of the Iraq war. In that particular article he inserted his own text and offered it as part of the transcript of Gen. Clarks sworn testimony. Never did a retraction and never appoligized.

From that vantage point I'd ask, "Could you get that spot just up on the hood please? Don't worry about using the same rag you are wiping my tires with....just a little wipe on the edge of the hood will be sufficient...yes...up there....little higher...yeah that's it...no not quite yet....have not got the spot yet....rub with a little more force."
We argue on here a lot but just show some boobies and we will all be on the same page.
