Title: initialization failed with -5 main help!!!!

Hello I hope someone can help me.I installed a new mobo
And now can't start aceshigh.I get the error( initialization failed
with -5 mainSN_FAILED-2)         it's displayd in a box in the middle of a white screen says aceshigh at the of the screen. that's as far as it go's. the new mobo is an msi with 512meg ram 1.7 gig duron
geforce 440 sdl 64mb video same card and ram I was using before.all of my other programs still work the same.I have looked every where for the last 3 weeks and hate to give up on aces.

The error indicates the sound card filed to initialize.  Either you have an older version of DirectX, which you can get an upgrade from Microsoft for (in Internet Explorer, go to Tools, then Windows Update). or you do not have the sound card drivers loaded for your system.
From the desktop, go to Start, then run, then type in DXDIAG and clock on the "Sound" tab to check for further information.

Thanks very much skuzzy for the quick reply after looking farther back in the forum I got the clue also that the sound card driver was the issue.got up and running very early this morning it made my whole day,NO my whole week lol.very sorry for takeing up your time this can be a lesson to all, keep looking don't just read back the last couple of weeks ,well once again thank you very much.:)
