on my machine, icons dissapear when I use the zoom.

P3-1000
GeForce II 32Mb latest drivers
Directx9.0b

Same here, except they only disappear when below the horizon.

Dell Dimension 8300
Pentium 4 3GHz
256MB DDR ATI Radeon 9800 XT
512 MB RAM
Windows XP
DirectX 9.0b
