Title: Mother Board Computer Question
Post by: BlckMgk on April 21, 2004, 10:24:44 PM
Was doing a search but can't find my answer..

does anyone know how the RAM setup for the ASUS K8V motherboard using VIA's K8T800 chipset works?

Meaning, does it have to be in pairs , 2x512's , or what?

This is the system I'm building Suggestions are appreciated.

Parts I'm purchasing:
·  2.2GHz Athlon 64 3400+ CPU
·  ASUS K8V motherboard using VIA's K8T800 chipset
·  2GB PC3200 DDR SDRAM (unsure how to purchase the chips)
·  Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Platinum
·  Maxtor 120GB S-ATA hard drive
--Still need to get a case--

--rest i have, cd/dvd-rw.

Get a pair of 1gig sticks. http://www.crucial.com  Although it seems the KV8 is not duel channel. Which means you do not need pairs.
