Thought I'd post slapshots pic landing on the CV no gear and one egine out.

What isnt told is the horrific end to this landing, blew up almost upon impact
Actually slap grinded the very edge of the CV managed to slide back onto the carrier and came to a haulting stop a few feet infront of me in a crumpled heep. Very nice!:aok

Not usually ... but a P-38 with no gear and 1 engine out ... tends to get a little hairy.
Each time you give it gas to keep alt for the deck, the whole plane pulls to the dead engine side. Much throttle feathering and rudder action going on.
