is this one download from the internet like aces high? and can you play online with others? (create wolfpacks)

Ditto, think I will be throwing away my joystick for good when this one arrives. Till then SH2 PA is filling in the void till SH3 release rather nicely.

Looks very promising, but it also looks like they're still a long way from release. Anyone seen an estimated release date?

the last release was (sh2) was a boxed game with free on-line play, this one will likely be the same.  sh2 was also compatible (in multi play) with destroyer command.  so you could do the wolf-pack thing or hunt them with destroyers.

I never really got into on-line with subs.  time compression is pretty hard to pull off in multi-player, and sub action is a little slow between contacts for 'real-time'.

  they game had huge issues but the on-line community fixed it up nicely and added a PA mod, that is better than the original.

I may be a little gun-shy in dealing with these people, so I'll probably keep playing PA until SH3 has been out and working well for a couple months.
